1) ASAS (BASIC)
PAUSING (5 SECONDS) TREATING INCORRECT ANSWERS - WITH ACCEPTABLE MANNER / FRIENDLY WAY PROMPTING (INCLUDES CLUES) PROBING ENABLE STUDENTS TO THINK BETTER ANSWER ASKING FOR FURTHER CLARIFICATION - CLEARER AND PRECISE ANSWER TO IMPROVE INCOMPLETE ANSWER.

REDIRECTING TO WHOLE CLASS BY CALLING THEIR NAMES REFOCUSING ASK QUESTION TO LINK DIFFERENT TOPIC/SITUATION CALLING ON NON-VOLUNTEERS PUPILS
At the beginning of a new topic to motivate the class, to pose problem or to establish background experience. At the beginning of the lesson to link with previous lesson/revise During the development of the lesson to ensure students engage actively.
During the end of development stage to review and solve / drill materials presented At the closure of the lesson to provide and overall review of the material presented in the whole lesson and to ascertain that its aims and objectives are successfully attained.
Ask the questions clearly and pause before calling on a specific students to answer. The pause should be very brief/short. Don t wait too long for an answer or interest may be lost. Questions randomly around the class. Making sure the students at the back and those with their hands down are also being asked.
If a students unable to answer a questions, direct to another students. When correct response is made, direct the same question to the first student to get her involve in the lesson. Adjust language and ask varying questions of difficulty to suit individual student. Avoid leading questions. ( Soalan mencapah)
Questioning brief and encouraging. Each students can be asked only two or three times depending on class size. Then, change the activity to different one such as discussion. Encourage students to respond audibly in clear and concise English. For totally incorrect answer, elaborate to other students, seek an opinion from another students.
