Definition of World Peace

World Peace is an ideal of freedom, peace, and happiness among and within all nations and/or people. World peace is an idea of planetary nonviolence by which nations willingly cooperate, either voluntarily or by virtue of a system of governance that prevents warfare. The term is sometimes used to refer to a cessation of all hostility among all individuals. For example, World Peace could be crossing boundaries via technology, education, engineering, medicine, diplomats and/or an end to all forms of fighting.

The Role of the United Nations


The idea of world peace is, in itself, a relatively recent idea. Not so long ago, all over the world, and in Europe in particular, every generation had had "its" war. rooted in our mentalities. War was almost considered as inevitable and peace was only a vague utopian dream Faced with the largest catastrophes in human history, men and women around the planet began to dream of a better, peaceful world. UNMOGIP United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan


The first group of United Nations military observers arrived in the mission area on 24 January of 1949 to supervise the ceasefire between India and Pakistan in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. Following renewed hostilities of 1971, UNMOGIP has remained in the area to observe developments pertaining to the strict observance of the ceasefire of 17 December 1971 and report thereon to the Secretary-General.

 Understanding: Once people start understanding each other, they will start developing high viewpoints to others.  Respect: If you respect others, others will respect you back.  Non-aggression: People should avoid anger and hatred towards other religions, cultures, civilizations, states and countries.  Equality: It is the most important issue to understand. Being polite and behaving well with others never hurts.

 Irony that war technology is still being encouraged and nations meet to discuss Peace.

Uncertain situation in 2020.

An Equal World with Equal Opportunities will lead to a better understanding of the Importance of Peace within and between societies.

Whenever I meet even a 'foreigner', I have always the same feeling: 'I am meeting another member of the human family.
