Of Exene Melvin
The Beginning
1. 1993
I was born from Annie and Snoopy Melvin. Soon to be followed by my brother, Gus. We were the cutest little 90s punk family you could imagine, with both parents in the peak of their musical careers and two little dumplings too young to express rebellion, it was all peaches and crme.
2. My family moved from our Terry town home in 2005, and relocated to Garfield, Del Valle, Texas. I also got my pug this year. This move changed my social life and made me appreciate the nature at hand. My mom started our Dog boarding business which had pros and cons for us all and taught my whole family a big lesson in patience, sacrifice, and reward. one of these rewards was a two week trip to Colombia in the summer of 2010, which was a very culturally enriching and unique trip. I got to try new foods and be a guest at my good friends quinceanera.
Garza
3. After a long saga of hating and skipping and switching schools, I found my way to Garza and started my meaningful educational career.
4. Graduating! The end of this long, dragged out, tedious task of high school and enter the working world. Garza has been great but I cant wait to see what else the world has to offer, and to carry the friendships Ive formed here with me.
In one year
I hope to have a steady job at a chill company and have enough funds to support myself and/or companion. And to have my own car and a decent art portfolio.
In 3 years
I hope to either work in/own a bakery and/or head shop. My dream would be to own my own cupcake shop called Zebra Club and all I would sell is paintings, cupcakes, and fine glass tobacco pipes. At this point if Im not attending Texas State or ACC, I would like to have spend a good deal of time in California exploring the growing businesses opportunities. I would also like to be a writer for a well known stand up comic or somehow score a job writing funny jokes or episodes for some network like adult swim, unless I gain enough material to do my own standup.
^this is David Cross and Lewis Black, Much admired stand up comics.
This is a hard concept to grasp. I will be 68, the future will have taken its toll. There will be hover cars and robot slaves, or the world will be some post apocalyptic wasteland. Either way I will be approaching insanity in my aging and probably wont give a damn about the two. Unless, of course, I maintain a healthy diet and exercise and evolve into a g.i.l.f. If I have not found my live long companion by the age of 50, I might indulge in a platonic marriage with a long time friend, for the company and the legal perks. I would like to spend the rest of my years in India, if it still offers the spiritual journey it has now.
