He has a doctor of management in organizational leadership and an M.B.A. with emphasis in technology management. He attended BYU and earned a B.S. in marketing with a music minor from SJSU

Jackie is the director of organization and talent development for Oracle, North America. She has also written publications for the Organization Development Journal and Sacramento Business Magazine and coauthored several other books. Jackie is the founder of Evolutions Consulting Group, helping individuals, teams, and organizations learn and grow together. Jackie holds a master's in human resources and organization development from University of San Francisco.

She is the Adjunct Professor for the Human Resource Development (HRD) program at Drexel University. She has co-authored this book and has endorsed a couple others. She has a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California. A Masters of Business Administration degree from San Francisco State University with a focus in international business. Finally a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley

Why they wrote the book




To give some ideas to business leaders about the use of social media. Also I think it was to tell the truth about social media at work and how to really utilize it. Also to take your business or company to the next level to interact with everyone.

The main ideas in the book that I got from it were how to make social media your own and somewhat individualistic and how to get it to appeal to others. What the proper ways to use and implicate social media in the work place.

What I learned


The book gives a clear-cut view of the importance and the roles that social media plays in helping individuals, teams, and leaders as a whole change the way work and life intersect in the social media world. I also learned where social media truly has an impact and how it plays such a major role in the world we live in from using blogs, facebook, twitter, mashable, etc.

Who can benefit?


  

People who are wanting to learn more about the social media world and techniques. Anybody I think can benefit from this book rather you are brand new to social media or a trailblazer. Especially people who are a part of a company in the marketing/advertising or branding divisions of your work. They give wonderful examples throughout the book and somewhat help/guide you along on your journey to becoming better familiar with techniques used for social media.
