N, AND JESUS DIED FOR EVERYWOMA N

2 PETER 1 : 3
HIS DIVINE POWER HAS GIVEN US EVERYTHING WE NEED FOR LIFE AND GODLINESS THROUGH OUR KNOWLEDGE OF HIM WHO CALLED US BY HIS OWN GLORY AND GOODNESS.

WE DO NOT HAVE THE POWER ON OUR OWN

TO NAVIGATE THE UPS AND DOWNS AND RIGHTS AND LEFTS HE GIVES US HIS PROMISE THAT HE WILL BE WITH US AND HE WILL SUSTAIN US AND ENABLE US TO
PARTICIPATE

IN HIS NATURE

TRYING TO LIVE LIFE ON OUR OWN WAY BRINGS CORRUPTION. MAKING THE DECISION TO TRUST GOD AND LIVE LIFE HIS WAY (THE WAY OF THE CROSS) WILL BRING US LIFE TO THE FULL.

TONIGHT WE WILL HAVE AN EXCITING NIGHT, SINCE WE WILL TALK ABOUT US

WE WILL TALK ABOUT THE MOST COMMON CYCLE WE ENCOUNTERED EVERY MONTH AS A WOMAN

MENSTRUAL CYCLE

WHAT IS MENSTRUAL CYCLE ?

also termed as a female reproductive cycle Can be defined as episodic uterine bleeding in response to cyclic hormonal changes It is the process that allows for conception and implantation of a new life.

THE PURPOSE :

- Is to bring an ovum to maturity and renew a uterine tissue bed that will be responsible for its growth should it be fertilized

Characteristics of Normal Menstrual Cycle

Characteristic 1.)Beginning (Menarche) Description Average age at onset,11- 13 years: Average range,9-17 yrs Average, 28 days Cycles of 23-35 days not unusual

2.)Interval between cycles

Characteristic 3.)Duration of Menstrual Flow

Description -Average Flow, 2-7 days; ranges of 1-9 days not abnormal Difficult to estimate ; Average 30-80 ml per menstrual period ; saturating pad or tampon in less than an hour is heavy bleeding

4.)Amount of Menstrual Flow

Characteristic 5.) Color of Menstrual Flow

Description Dark red; a combination of blood, mucus, and endometrial cells Similar that of Marigolds

6.) Odor

HYPOTHALAMUS PITUITARY GLAND OVARIES UTERUS

HYPOTHALAMUS -A part of the diencephalon of the brain. --It activates, controls, and integrates the peripheral autonomic nervous system, and many somatic functions such as the body temperature, sleep, and appetite.

PITUITARY GLAND

The pituitary gland is a pea-sized gland located at the base of the skull between the optic nerves. The pituitary gland secretes hormones. Hormones are chemicals that travel through our blood stream. The pituitary is sometimes referred to as the "master gland" as it controls hormone functions such as our temperature, thyroid activity, growth during childhood, urine production, testosterone production in males and ovulation and estrogen production in females.

In effect the gland functions as our thermostat that controls all other glands that are responsible for hormone secretion. The gland is a critical part of our ability to respond to the environment most often without our knowledge.

OVARIES The ovary is an ovumproducing reproductive organ, often found in pairs as part of thevertebrate female reproducti ve system.

UTERUS The reproductive function of the uterus is to accept a fertilized ovum which passes utero-tubal through the junction from the fallopian tube.

LUTEINIZING HORMONE (LNRH)

In Females, working together with folliclestimulating hormone, stimulates the growing follicle in the ovary to secrete estrogen.

ESTROGEN
Estrogen is an important hormone for both men and women, though it plays a more important role in females. Estrogen is supplied by primarily the ovaries in women, and in small amounts in the testes of men.
Estrogen is also an important part of keeping the bones healthy, especially in women. According to the Mayo Clinic, as menopause occurs and estrogen levels decrease, women have a much greater chance of developing bone diseases such as osteoporosis. To combat this, many menopausal women choose to have hormone replacement therapy.

PROGESTERONE
Progesterone is a hormone that stimulates and regulates important functions, playing a role in maintaining pregnancy, preparing the body for conception and regulating the monthly menstrual cycle.

The Role of Progesterone in Women One of progesterone's most important functions is to cause the endometrium to secrete special proteins during the second half of the menstrual cycle, preparing it to receive and nourish an implanted fertilized egg. If implantation does not occur, estrogen and progesterone levels drop, the endometrium breaks down and menstruation occurs.
-

If a pregnancy occurs, progesterone is produced in the placenta, and levels remain elevated throughout the pregnancy. The combination of high estrogen and progesterone levels suppress further ovulation during pregnancy. Progesterone also encourages the growth of milkproducing glands in the breast during pregnancy.

High progesterone levels are believed to be partly responsible for premenstrual symptoms of syndrome (PMS), such as breast tenderness, feeling bloated and mood swings. When you skip a period, it could be because of failure to ovulate and subsequent low progesterone levels.

To make it understandable I will show you a video about the Menstrual Cycle

So how can we coordinate our life with our Menstrual Cycle ? So lets watch this next video.

MENSTRUAL CRAMPS WHAT CAUSES PAIN?

WHAT ARE SOME CAUSES OF IRREGULAR MENSTRUATION ?

CONCLUSION :
Having a good health is one of the most important aspects of our lives. Without health, itd be difficult to enjoy the other blessings we may have in our lives. Therefore, ever since God created us, it has been His will for us to be healthy and well.
