WHAT IS PHOPIAS

• A phobia is an uncontrollable, and lasting fear of a certain object, situation,


or activity. This fear can be so overwhelming that a person may go to great
lengths to avoid the source of this fear. One response can be a panic attack.
This is a sudden, intense fear that lasts for several minutes. It happens when
there is no real danger.
EXAMPLE OF THE MOST COMMON PHOBIAS

• 1- social phobia
• 2- phobia of enclosed spaces
• 3- phobia of heights
• 4- phobia of needle
• 5- phobia of blood
WHAT CAUSES PHOBIAS

• There doesn't seem to be one particular cause of phobias. There are various
factors that might contribute to developing a phobia. But there is not often a
clear reason why it starts.
4- HOW CAN PEOPLE OVERCOME THEIR PHOBIAS

• Try not to avoid feared situations. Practice staying near feared


situations as you can rather than avoiding them completely.
• Reach out. Consider joining a self-help or support group where you can
connect with others who understand what you're going through.
• Take care of yourself.
