Questionnaire are most useful as a data collection method especially when large numbers of people are to be reached in different geographical areas. They are popular because researchers can obtain information fairly easy and their responses are easily coded.

Several ways of administrating questionnaires:


1.They can be personally administered to respondents 2.Inserted in magazines 3.Periodicals or newspapers 4.Mailed to respondents 5.Electronically distributed through e-mail

Software is also available to frame subsequent questions based on the subjects response to the preceding question. Companies websites can also elicit surveys responses. Examples: 1. Reaction to customer service 2. Product utility Global research is now vastly facilitated by the electronic system
