Write a blurb for your favourite story book.

Basic Elements of a blurb

● Hook: Start with a catchy sentence or question to grab attention.

● Main Idea: Summarize the main plot or the most exciting part of the story.
● Characters: Mention who the main characters are, but keep it brief.
● Conflict: Briefly describe the main problem or challenge the characters
face.
● Teaser: Give a hint about what makes the story special or intriguing
without giving everything away.
Writing a Blurb
Keep It Brief
● Stick to One Paragraph: A blurb is typically one to two paragraphs long. It should be succinct but
informative.
● Be Concise: Avoid unnecessary details or long-winded explanations.

Use Active Language

● Be Engaging: Use active verbs and dynamic language to make the blurb lively and engaging.
● Avoid Passive Voice: Passive constructions can be less compelling and make the blurb feel flat.

Maintain the Tone

● Match the Tone of the Story: Ensure that the blurb reflects the tone and mood of the book.
● A funny story should have a humorous blurb, while a dramatic one should be more serious.
