COURSE DESCRIPTION

• This course has been designed to enhance student’s understanding in English language so

that they may be able to read, write and speak English with ease. The course aims to

improve the English Language skills of the Civil Engineering students from an intermediate

to advanced level, and to help them overcome their fear of public speech. It also aims to

inculcate confidence and to groom their personality to communicate at executive level jobs.
COURSE OBJECTIVES

• Apply listening strategies to cope with the problems faced in


listening and comprehension
• Communicate efficiently in English using reading skills and sub
skills and through enhanced vocabulary and have command of the
various modes of writing.
