INTRODUCTION TO KLCC
Petronas Twin Towers forms the centrepiece of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC), an intelligent precinct that serves as the beginning of the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC), a high tech area for companies. With a height of 1,453 feet, one of the world's tallest buildings rise above the skyline of Kuala Lumpur.

The 88-storey gleaming two freestanding towers is connected by a skybridge at the 41st floor. Situated within the towers is the Petronas Philharmonic Hall, the Petronas Art Gallery and Petrosains, an interactive science exhibition centre.

Petronas Philharmonic Hall, literally Dewan Filharmonik Petronas (DFP) in Malay, is the first classical music hall in Malaysia that is solely dedicated to music. Located at the bottom of the elevated Petronas Twin Towers, this strikingly-beautiful hall is outfitted with the latest services and luxurious seating.

The Philharmonic Hall has a capacity of 885 spectators, including box seating at Stall level and 20 plush corporate suites at Circle and Upper Circle levels. This concert hall was built on the lines of the traditional shoe-box design of the European concert halls of the 19th century. It also has an adjustable ceiling that bends according to the acoustical setting, required by solo pianist or a full-fledged orchestra.

Being the first intended concert hall of Malaysia, the Petronas Philharmonic Hall aims to be the hub for enthusiastic classical music audiences, apart from other complementary musical styles like jazz and world music. Since its opening in 1998, the hall has seen innumerable concerts, recitals chamber concerts and traditional cultural performances. Besides, the performances organized here have never missed world-renowned classical artists and orchestras, plus international jazz musicians, traditional Malaysian music and dance productions.

ABOUT PETRONAS ART GALLERY


Galeri Petronas is a popular gallery for artists to display their artworks, thus fostering the budding interest of the Malaysians in visual arts. Originally, the gallery was established in 1993 at the Dayabumi Complex, which was the former command center of PETRONAS-the National Oil and Gas Corporation of Malaysia. Its origin created a noteworthy venue for the exhibition of artworks in Kuala Lumpur. The gallery was relocated to its present location in Suria KLCC in 1998.

Seeing that it hosts several local and foreign artists, it persuades them to exchange dialogues and have better understanding of art. The Art Collection at the gallery comprises about 1000 works, including painting, drawings, photographs, sculptures, textiles, crafts, costumes, prints, and ceramics, from Malaysia and overseas. It also consists of cherished gifts which have been presented to the company by its worldwide business partners over the years

ABOUT PETRONAS AQUARIA KLCC


Aquaria KLCC is a place where underwater world is showcased beautifully in Kuala Lumpur. Located in KL Convention Centre, it is a place worth discovering that what actually it is like to glide through the tropical rainforests. One can reach here through the underground interlink from Tower Records in Suria KLCC. The Aquaria has showcased some of the most entrancing aquatic creatures from all parts of the world. The park is sprawled in 60,000 sq ft (6,000 m) of area in two levels.

ABOUT PETRONAS AQUARIA KLCC


This huge aquarium features a 90-metre long underwater tunnel, a 10-ft long colossal Arapamia, a touch pool and one Aqua Theatre. Throughout the journey, you can stop at anytime to examine the living creatures and their habitat. At the Touch Pool, you'll actually get to touch baby sharks and stingrays. KL Aquaria, the 90m long acrylic tunnel, marks the climax of this exciting journey where brilliant view of ocean is presented.
