Arindam is the son of Dr. Malayendra Kisor

Chaudhuri, who founded the Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM) in 1973. He received his Post Graduate Diploma in Planning and Entrepreneurship from IIPM in 1992[6] He later became the Honorary Dean for the IIPM Centre for Economic Research and Advanced Studies.[7] Also in 2004, Arindam Chaudhuri was appointed as a member (social and agricultural sector) of the Consultative Committee for the Planning Commission, Government of India.[2]

Mumbai, 16th February 2009: Amitabh Bachchan was

presented the Stardust Award for the Best Actor at a glittering ceremony held in Mumbai last night for his towering and intense performance of an ageing theatre actor in Planman Motion Pictures - The Last Lear. Amitabh was especially delighted to receive this award as it coincided with his 40th year in the film industry 15th Feb, 1969 being the date when he signed his first film contract!
