His research areas include public theology, religion and politics, and Christianity in China. His major publications includes Religious Diversity and Public Religion in China (sole author) and Human Dignity, Human Rights, and Social Justice: A Chinese Interdisciplinary Dialogue with Global Perspective (co-editor).
