ISTORY

Tik ! tok! Tik! Tok! The unending sounds of time that would never end. Once upon a time were just kids, curious and unaware of what life is. The future a waits for us, but to whom do we entrust the golden future we wished to hold? Just a wink of an eye, I realized how fast things changed. Time changed as we changed it. Here we are in the peak of our high school year, behind of what we are today are people like our teachers, parents, RVM Sisters and friends who unselfishly open their minds, hearts, and hands in molding us to become what we are today together with all the different events and experiences that took part in our class history was the bridge of our success today. It is really nice to reminisce those times that were still young. To start with, let me bring you back to the jolly and imaginative world of kindergarten under the advisory of our ever caring Mrs. Virginia Qubing who acted not only a teacher but also a very patient mother, who took care of us as babies, we laughed because we were happy, we cried because we were hurt, we ate because we were hungry, we behaved because thats what we were told to do, those were the days we enjoyed everyday of our life in school. The thing about Maam Qubing that we cannot forget is she managed the way we were, that sometimes we dont listen and we keep on talking and playing. I can still remember the usual things Ive done before, like chatting with my best friend Mike about Power Rangers while Maam Qubing were discussing while some kids like Jolina and JJ kept on arguing but all of this did not stop Maam Qubing from loving and nurturing our minds with the basic lessons that we needed. When we stepped to our first grade we had Mrs. Merly Jonasan as our adviser whom I can remember as a disciplinarian who always brought with her a meter stick. She is a teacher who likes to share stories of her life which inspired us to do well in our studies, even shes strict she had a good heart. She was the one who really taught us to read properly, to write correctly, and taught us basic mathematics with meter stick with her and that meter stick made us scared and the fear we felt was like an electric shock. Whether you like it or not you are going to behave and be responsible for all the things that you have to do. Our grade Two (2) adviser was still Mrs. Jonasan. In this year she inspired us more and she continued teaching us good values and how to become better children to our parents. The next year was when we received our first holy communion. Our adviser was Ms. Arlene Bersamen, a young lady who did her best to teach and guide us, teach us more knowledge about education. Her advisory continued until we were in the 4th grade. With her teaching, we learned more and at this stage, through our experiences, our friendship was developed, leaning on each others shoulders was the best memories we ever treasured. The next year, we entered the 5th grade and its like a welcome back to school year to all of us or lets say a welcome home event as Mrs. Merly Jonasan was again our adviser. With her guidance she continued molding us and keeping us to aim high. We started to become matured enough to realize the value of studies. Finally, when we were on the sixth grade, more challenges and pressure were given to us. But with the tender care of our adviser Mrs. Cherel Apostol things went on smoothly. She and my classmates spent a lot of time working as a team either for academic purposes or extra curricular activities. We have a lot of experiences, its just come and go, even kept by our heart but those experiences made our friendship stronger and we treasured each others company.

Graduation day was one of the best days we had in our life. We received our diplomas and awards, its a feeling that you cannot express, worried what may come after this but happy for entering a new stage of life and yes to high school life, new challenges, new teachers and maybe new friends to hold on. Our first year in high school was so great! We had a soft spoken, smart talker; one of the best teachers in English was our adviser Mrs. Consuelo de la Salde. She helped us developed our confident as we tackled our first year life in high school. We were so excited to meet our new friends, I felt quite different for the first month of high school maybe because were already ladies and gentlemen. We acted differently. Ladies were starting to beautify themselves as well as gentlemen groomed themselves, how nice to feel like grown up men and women. Go by the wind a saying that pictured out the life we had during our sophomore year. We were guided with care and affection by our mother adviser Mrs. Edna Lobitana. We were always reminded to do good things. It is because of her teaching that we realized how valuable we are to have been loved and cared by our parents in spite of all wrongdoings we have done. She is a lady who always offered love to everybody. Life became more challenging as junior high school students. We worked together as one family but unfortunately most of my classmates were too eager and curious to know things even to the extent of having vices that turned out to be a problem to the school, to our very strong and handsome adviser Mr. Argie Manug and to our parents. This year was the climax of our struggles but fortunately we were able to survived, with the help and support of the school staff and to our very energetic Mr. Argie Manug. We learned a lot from our mistakes and we were very happy knowing the advantages and disadvantages of being loved by someone and to love someone which inspired us more to learn and study our lessons. Here comes the Senior Year!!! The year of perfection we were motivated to do things orderly and correctly no excuses were allowed to let laziness and dullness overpower our senses: senses to study, senses to do things that would make us better persons, senses in making right decisions at the right time and senses to become mature persons to tackle problems in a nice way. We were trained to make these senses a weapon to become a real person ready to go out into the world by our very energetic and perfectionist adviser Mrs. Maricar B. Lepornio. This is the year we realized our deeper friendship with my classmates and friends. We always saw to it that every minute of our companionship was a memorable time of our life; sometimes after the class we played a lot of games like tigso and enter-enteran. These games made us closer to each other and sometimes also on weekends, we hang out to beaches and parks and the most wonderful activities we had was doing our assignments and extra curricular activities together and all of us were very much concerned for everyone, there was always a shoulder and a hand to lend a help. We thank Maam Car Lepornio for her unselfish love and support for us. We admired her very much. We may not be perfect but we tried our very best to do things in a perfect way because nothing is perfect. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the RVM Sisters, like Sister Epifania Tabuga, RVM, known to be the stomach of the school, she keeps the canteen filled with affordable delicious food together with love cleanliness was her top priority, she made sure that our canteen was the best place to hang out. SMC students are lucky to have a very healthy canteen by the management of Sister Fanny. Secondly, I would like to acknowledge the Heart of the School that pumps the circulation of our financial status, we thank Sister Teresita Daquila RVM, our Finance Officer who honestly tried her best to support and maintained the school financial status. Third, our very own S.Ma. Gloria Catalunia, RVM ,our Guidance Counselor, the eyes and ears of the school, we are so thankful for her guidance, she nurtured us the good values of Mother Ignacia del Espiritu Santos teaching. She is soft spoken, she looks strict but when you start to hang out with her you will realize how jolly and understanding she is. Again, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our energetic and supportive administrator, no other than Sister Ma. Jesusita Bernate, RVM, our School President and Directress. She managed the school with full support and strong will, she made the school a place of molding good moral and with her inspirational talk that cannot be missed in every occasion we had for us to bring out our inner best to understand the meaning of life as she relates our life in Jesus is sacrifices for us. She has a golden heart to the extent of letting some students take exam without permit. How happy we were for the chance of having the RVM Sisters with us.

Soon we will be leaving this alma mater, PARE 59, hope that the legacy of being good examples and of being good students will be continued by the next generation, We thank you for the untiring support of our parents, Fellow Marians, Teachers and most especially the Graceful RVM Sisters who by Gods grace offered an unexceptional love to all of us. Good Deeds never die as the saying goes Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift. Live life to the fullest! Adios Amigos!
