Fairgoers asked to weigh-in on freworks,
school start before Labor Day
Legislators to meet and greet at the Minnesota State Fair
Fairgoers can let their opinion be known on a number o state issues by participating in the annualMinnesota State Fair Poll at the House o Representatives booth during the air’s 12-day run,Aug. 23- Sept. 3.This year’s questions cover such topics as employers requiring employee’s to turn over social mediapasswords as terms o employment; a helmet requirement or motorcyclists; expand legalization o reworks; and whether all school districts should be permitted to start school beore Labor Day.Although not scientic, ballot results give a heads up to what Minnesotans think about some high-proleissues. A list o this year’s poll questions is available on the House website, www.house.mn, and pollresults should be available on the site Sept. 4.The booth will be stocked with inormation introducing airgoers to state government and to help thembetter understand the legislative process.The exhibit will be located in the northeast corner o the Education Building on Cosgrove Street justnorth o Dan Patch Avenue.It has been a long-standing tradition that House members make themselves available to answerquestions and meet with the public.The ollowing is a list o representatives, as o Aug. 17, planning to attend, including dates, times andthe district they represent:
