Fuselage Assembly
Start by laying out and checking the above content list.Insert the 2 inlet ducting tube into the fuselage. Please note that there is a right side and left side. The dents in the inlet tube sides faces the bottom.

1 ) Left side ducting.

2 ) Slide the ducting into the fuselage from the open canopy. Do both sides. Sliding in the ducting.

3 ) Push the ducting to the outside until it sits snug with the inside of the intake lip of the fuselage. Do this step as dry fitting only DO NOT GLUE YET !

4 ) The rear of the 2 ducting should meet at the back. Turn over the fuselage and check from the lower hatch. We recommend that you dry fit your EDF unit into the wood fan bearer along with the ducting at this time. If the ducting is too long for your fan unit, you can trim the length of the ducting for your particular fan unit.

5 ) Once the ducting length is correct, mark the oultine of the spinner of your fan onto the 2 ducts and trim to fit.

6 ) The rear ducting should meet as in photo, if not then you need to switch the ducts until they do.Use a few drop of glue to secure the duct assembly to the wood former.

7 )Mark the outline of the fan unit spinner for trimming. Do both ducts.

8 ) Once you have the ducting all correctly set out start by gluing the 2 ducts at their ends and then glue the front intake ends to the inside of the fuselage inlet. Use clamps for a secure joint.

9 ) The front should look like this after gluing.

10 ) For a better air seal, we recommend gluing a piece of plastic sheet or a sheet of balsa on the inside joint of the duct.

11 ) Glue a piece of reinforcement on the inside joint for a better air seal.

Wing Assembly
Layout both wings and turn them bottom up. Locate the 2 precut holes for the aileron servo and landing gear bearer.

1 ) Use light pressure to locate the bottom holes. Cut the covering away using a sharp hobby knife.

2 ) Locate the fix landing gear wire legs and bearers. Insert the landing gear wire into the bearer. Note that there is a left and right landing gear bearer.

3 ) Lay the landing gear bearer with wire next to the wing landing gear cutout. Make sure that the outlines match then dry fit it in. Once it sits correct and flush, proceed to glue the gear bearer with Epoxy into the wing.

4 ) The wings comes with supplied CA hinges. They are not glued in though. Push the aileron butt up against the wng and apply a few drops of thin CA at the location of the hinges.

5 ) Apply a few drops of thin CA at the hinge locations

6 ) Locate the 2 aileron servo covers and trim the cover away at the cut out for the servo horn. Again, note that there is a left and right side.Dry fit the servo covers until correct and flush. The servo horn hole should be on the outside of the wing.

7 ) Run servo extension wires through the wings into the fuselage. Connect the servo to the extension wires and secure with a piecec of tape. Connect up the servos to the receiver and turn on the radio and receiver.Centre the servos on both sides. Now glue both servos to the exposed bottom of the aileron servo covers. The servo horn should be centered in the hole. Move the aileron stick and make sure that there is no servo horn binding.

8 ) Screw the aileron servo cover with servo onto the wing at the 4 corners.Connect up the push rod and use that to mark where to glue the aileron horn. Drilla hole where the aileron goes and glue with Epoxy.

9 ) Connect up the push rod to the aileron horn and turn on your radio to make sure that the controls and the ailerons are centered. Adjust the pushrod length or use radio subtrim function to achieve this.

10 ) Locate the 2 carbon spars and thread it through the fuselage. The spars should stick out on both sides of the fuselage. The Spars sits at the bottom of the fuselage.

11 ) Push the 2 wings onto the spar and butt up against the sides of the fuselage. After dry fitting and checking fit, you can now glue the wings to the fuselage. Do not forget to pull the aileron servo extension wire through the fuselage. When gluing make sure that each wing is flush against the top and bottom of the wing stub on the fuselage sides. We strongly recommend the use of 30 min or longer epoxy to glue the wings. This will allow time for fine adjustments before the glue dries.

Elevator Assembly
1 ) Push the 2 plastic pus rod outer sleeves from the rear towards the front, passing through the locating .holes in the wood formers Glue the sleeves to the inside of the fuselage and at the formers with a few drops of epoxy.

2 ) Slide the horizontal stab into the precut slot at the rear of the fuselage.Note that the sleeves sits below the stab. DO NOT GLUE YET !

3 ) Slide the push rod into the sleeve and connect up the clevis. Locate the elevator lever and connect it up to the clevis. Push the elevator lever into the rear and out the sides at the rear of the stab. If the slot is too tight use a file to trim the elevator slot longer or bigger.

4 ) After dry fitting the elevator onto the elevator lever, now glue the elevator lever end into the elevator, and use thin CA to glue the elevator hinges. Once the elevators are done, take care to centre the horizontal stab and glue to the fuselage using epoxy. We recommend using strips of balsa or wood as fillet at the joints for reinforcement.

5 ) Now cut the elevator push rod sleeve to length at the rear allowing for enough down elevator travel and use a drop of glue to secure the sleeve to the bottom of the horizontal stab. Secure the sleeve to the bottom of the horizontal stab.

6 The front of the sleeve should sit on top off each inlet duct. Secure the sleeve to the top of each duct using epoxy.

Battery Tray Assembly

1 Locate the battery tray, and glue the vertical former to the bottom of the tray.

2 Slide the battery tray into the fuselage, noting direction of the tray. The 3 tongues slides into corresponding holes in the former in the front. Glue the trasy with epoxy.

3 Mount the elevator servo onto the battery tray at the rear. Now measure the correct pushrod length and cut to length. Remember to also cut the plastic sleeve correspondingly. Hook up the push rods to the servo using the supplied stopper. Adjust the elevators halves until both sides are neutral.

Landing Gear Assembly

1 Now glue the main gear wire into the slot in the gear bearer and use 2 plastic straps with screws to hold the gear wire secure.

2 Glue the front gear bearer into the front former tray on the inside of the fuselage. Then use 4 screws to further secure the bearer.

3 Now insatll the supplied steering arm onto the front gear wire. Use the supplied wire to make a control loop.

Canopy Assembly
1 Locate the canopy wood base. Use canopy glue or silicone to glue the wood base to the inside of the canopy.

Canopy wood base.

2 3 photos shows the arrangement of the canopy wood former base.

3 Optional included is a canopy hatch for fixing the canopy to the fuselage. Use the following photo for reference on the installation.

EDF Unit Installation

1 2 Long tie straps are supplied. Thread them through the precut holes in the fan cradle.Place the fan unit in the cradle and line it up with the inlet ducting, at the same time make sure that the alignment of the fan is also straight along the centre line of the fuselage.

2 Use the supplied 20 X 30 clear plastic sheet and roll a thrust tube for the duct fan unit. The exit diameter of the thrust tube should be about 6364 mm.Slip the thrust onto the rear of the fan unit and attach with clear tape. Either tape or screw on the lower fan unit cover.

Before Your First Flight

Before the first flight please check the following :
1. All the flying surfaces are straight and true. 2. The CENTRE OF GRAVITY is at the recommended location. 3. The aileron and elevator travel are as recommended.

Centre of Gravity

Travel Adjustments
Aileron travel Up 7 mm

Down 5 mm Elevator travel Up 6 mm
