NOTE:i) ii) The recruitment is for the University service in general which includes S.V.U. College of Arts, Tirupati. Those who have responded to the earlier notification issued on 21.06.2010 need not submit fresh application. However, they may send the additional qualifications / improvements / research activities if any to the application already submitted including their latest postal address for sending all communications, in the prescribed form available on the official web site of the University. As per the clarification of the Commissioner of Tribal Welfare, A.P., Hyderabad, the Schedule Tribe candidates other than A.P. State cannot be allowed to enjoy the benefits and privileges, vide Letter R.C.No.653/2011/TRI/VC-7, dated 16.04.2011. The appointments pertaining to this advertisement are subject to the disposal of Writ Petitions No. 1717 of 2007, 6717 of 2007, 24163 of 2007, 2603 of 2008 and 2518 of 2008 in the Honble High Court of Andhra Pradesh in general and subjects which are with asterisk mark (*) against them are subject to disposal of the related Writ Petitions in particular in the Honble High Court of Andhra Pradesh. The 55% marks in Masters Level should be insisted upto for those entering the system from outside and at the entry point of Assistant Professors.

vi) Relaxation of 5% may be provided at the Graduate and Masters level for the SC/ST/Differential-abled (Physically and Visually Handicapped) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. degree holders, who have passed their Masters Degree prior to 19 th September, 1991. Rounding off of marks to make it to 55% or 50% as the case may be through grace mark procedure etc., by Universities is not permissible for claiming relaxation. viii) Relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed by a recognized University shall also be considered eligible. I - ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR Qualifications and experience for the Post of ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (Arts & Sciences) a) Essential : I) i) ii) Good academic record with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned / allied / relevant disciplines. 55% of the marks, or equivalent grade wherever grading system is followed at the Masters degree level.

iii) A minimum of five years of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic / research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University / College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers in indexed/ISBN/ISSN numbered books/journals and University developed ISBN/ISSN list of journals hosted in the website of the concerned University. iv) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students. v) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) developed by UGC.

The candidate shall submit application along with his / her bio-data and reprints of three major publications which would be assessed by the Subject Experts before the interview. The evaluation score of the publications provided by the experts will be collated with the API score

Qualifications and experience for the Post of ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR in Engineering Subjects a) Essential : Cadre Qualifications Qualification and Experience for candidates from Industry and the Profession Ph.D. degree with First Class at First Class Masters Degree in the Bachelors or Masters Degree appropriate branch of Engineering in the appropriate branch of and Technology. c) General : a) Teaching, research industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; b) Published work, such as research papers, patents filed / obtained, books, and / or technical reports; c) Experience of guiding the project work / dissertation of PG / Research Students or supervising R&D projects in industry; d) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) developed by UGC in these Regulations shall be a mandatory requirement II - ASSISTANT PROFESSOR Qualifications and experience for the Post of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (Arts & Sciences) a) Essential : I) i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% of the marks or equivalent grade where grading system is practiced at the Masters degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET

iii) Holders of Ph.D. degree as on the date of Notification of these Regulations, along with those candidates who are awarded a Ph.D. degree through a process of admission, registration, course work and external evaluation as laid down in the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedures for award of M.Phil /Ph.D Degree), Regulations, 2009 and so adopted by the university, shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET. iv) NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted subject to the conditions stipulated in clause.3.3.3. of G.O.Ms.No. 14, Higher Education (UE.II) Department, dated 20.02.2010

General information for the post of Assistant Professor (i) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the following candidates are exempted from appearing eligibility test for the recruitment of Lecturers in Universities and Colleges, NET exemption is allowed as per the U.G.C. Notification No. F1-1/2002(PS) Exemp. dated 01.06.2009 published in the Gazette of India part III Section 4 in last para which reads as follows:NET / SLET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor. Provided, however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in compliance of the University Grants Commission (Minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions. (ii) In pursuance of the decision of the Executive Council in its resolution No. F-8, dated 15.06.2007 on implementation of the G.O.Ms.No. 18, Higher Education (UE-I) Department, dated 27.02.2004, relaxation of NET / SLET qualification will be permissible for recruitment of Assistant Professors reserved for SC / ST backlog vacancies whenever notified subject to the condition that they should give an undertaking stating that they would pass the NET / SLET Examination within two years from the date of recruitment, failing which they would not be eligible for release of increments and promotion under CAS in view of the shortage of SC / ST candidates with NET / SLET qualifications.

General Information The prescribed application form and other particulars can be had from the Registrar, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati 517 502 A.P. in person or by post on payment of Rs.100/- & Rs. 140/- respectively by a crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of the REGISTRAR, S.V.UNIVERSITY, TIRUPATI payable at Andhra Bank / State Bank of India, S.V.U. Campus, Tirupati. Demand Draft obtained should not be earlier than the date of notification. The requisition for the application form must be accompanied positively by a selfaddressed envelop of the size 20 cm X 30 cm and the crossed Demand Draft as aforesaid. SEPARATE APPLICATIONS FOR EACH POST SHALL BE SUBMITTED Applications (for each post) giving full particulars regarding academic qualifications (with marks statements) experience in Teaching, Research and API (Academic Performance Indicator) with copies of at least two testimonials (one of which should be from the Head of the Institution where the applicant is now serving or served last) attached to the application should reach the Registrar, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati 517 502 A.P., India on or before 5.00 p.m. on 20.11.2012 together with a Crossed Demand Draft for Rs.200/- (Rupees Two hundred only) towards Registration fee drawn not earlier than the date of notification in favour of the Registrar, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati payable at Andhra Bank / State Bank of India, S.V.U. Campus, Tirupati. Indian Postal Orders / Bank Challans and Money Orders will not be accepted. The university is not responsible for any postal delay or lost while in transit.

Attested copies of certificates, Publications etc., non-returnable are to be sent along with their application. Originals should be produced at the time of interview and also at the time of joining if selected. Those who are in employment at present should route their applications through their Employer. The applicants should invariably enclose xerox copies of the Certificate of the Caste (duly attested) in respect of SC, ST and BC candidates from the competent Government Authorities, obtained not earlier than 6 months prior to the date of the notification in case of Temporary Caste Certificate. Applications received after the prescribed date and in completed applications will not be considered. Furnishing of false information or suppression of any factual information in the application form would be a disqualification for the employment in future also. If, the fact, that false information has been furnished or that there has been suppression of any factual information in the application form or in any document comes to the notice at any time during the service of a person, his / her services are liable for termination of service. The Registration fees, once paid will not be refunded or adjusted to any other account. The candidates should send their applications to the REGISTRAR, S.V.University, Tirupati 517 502, A.P. Canvassing in any form would be a disqualification of the candidate for appointment. The candidates called for, will have to be present themselves for an interview at their own expenses. In case of Assistant Professors interview may include Written Test. The University reserves to itself the right to increase or decrease the number of posts to fill or not to fill any or all the above posts, to fill or not to fill the consequential vacancies, to relax the qualifications when candidates with prescribed qualifications are not available (or) are not found suitable and to appoint candidates to posts lower than the one they applied without assigning any reasons thereof. The new recruitees will be eligible only to Sri Venkateswara University Contributory Pension Scheme as implemented by the University in its resolution No. B-9, dated 25.09.2006.
