    ForImmediateRelease November19,2012 QUESNEL,B.C.AffordableHousingmeansdifferentthingstodifferentpeople.Tohelpthe communitybetterunderstandaffordablehousing,theCityofQuesnel,throughtheourQuesnel: SustainabilityinActionprocess,istakingonanumberofactions. First,thanksinparttofundingreceivedfromtheRealEstateFoundationofBritishColumbia,the Cityisdevelopinganaffordablehousingstrategytoidentifymediumandshorttermgoalsand actions. AspecialsessionforthepublictotalkaboutaffordablehousinghasbeensetforMondayNov.26, from11a.m.to2p.m.atCityHall.Itwillprovide: Anopportunitytolearnmoreaboutthedifferenttypesandavailabilityofaffordable housinginourcommunity. AreviewoftheCitysDraftAffordableHousingStrategy. Anopportunityforlocalhousingstakeholderstomeetanddiscussprojects,withaneye towardscreatingorfosteringpartnershipsbetweenthem.

    InadditiontotheOpenHouse,anewsletterdescribingvarioustypesofaffordablehousingand thestrategydevelopmentprocesswillarriveinpeoplesmailboxesinthecomingdays.
