Heart Oven Mitt

Instructions
Cut 2 of piece 1 from cotton fabric
Cut 2 of piece 1 from cotton batting (warm & natural)
Cut 1 of piece 1 from heat resistant material (used to make
Ironing board covers)

Layer: 1 piece of fabric print side down


1 piece of heat resistant fabric (silver side down)
2 pieces of batting
1 piece of fabric print side up

Baste all layers together and set aside.

Cut 4 of piece 2 from cotton


Cut 2 of piece 2 from cotton batting (Warm & Natural)

Sandwich one piece of batting between 2 pieces of cotton


fabric with the right sides out.
Baste around the edges.
Bind straight edge with contrasting ½ inch double fold bias
tape

OR
Cut 2 of piece 2 with the straight side on a fold.
Cut 2 of piece 2 from cotton batting

Place 1 piece of batting on the wrong side of one side of the


fabric, ford the fabric so that the batting is sandwiched
between the folded fabric. Bast around the curved side and
topstitch ¼ inch from the straight edge. Don’t bind the edge
with bias tape

Now place the flap pieces (piece 2) on the mitt piece (piece 1)
with straight edge place along the dotted line on the pattern.
Baste into place. Finish edges with ½ inc double fold bias tape.
