Though i am a scientist, I like literature very much. I miss all those visionary poets and poems and writers. Do You? Life has become more machine-like today. And sometimes, i feel like getting out of that robotic flow.

Yes-I do.I'm always reading eliot and such.
contemporary poetry-is it rooted in earth?
does it point beyond itself? is it assonant?does it alliterate? does it have metre, even in free verse? is it economical with language, does the verb do the work? does it talk of power but has no bloody horse? does it have the gait of a shuffling nag? is it chopped up prose? would you talk like that? the list of canons/standards are quite basic, yet so many are ignorant of them?
