Man charged in historical sexual assault investigation, Harvey Erlich, 58, Police believe there may be more victims

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an investigation into historical sexual assaults between January 1975 and April 1980. It is alleged that: the accused, while working as a choir teacher at Shaarei Shomayim Congregation, at 470 Glencairn Avenue, sexually assaulted a boy who was 11 at the time, while at the synagogue a second victim, a boy, 13 at the time, was sexually assault by the accused in a home in the Wilmington Avenue/Sheppard Avenue West area On Tuesday, November 13, 2012, Harvey Erlich, 58, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with: 1) two counts of Gross Indecency He appeared in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Tuesday, November 13, 2012.
