Every year, students and teachers wait impatiently for Spring Break, and it is finally here! The week before it can be tough. Add in the time change, and the week can be real tough. Fortunately for our class, Mrs. Galyon (our new student teacher) brought some energy with her to keep the week going. The students received letters (paper ones) from their Philippines pen-pals and wrote letters back. Because spring is here, we mulched our garden to prepare it for our seeds. We also had two assemblies this week: 2nd grade musical and special guest speaker Renaldo Woolridge. The students continued to work on their research projects by writing rough drafts and making power points.
