All visitors now need to be buzzed into the building by a school staff member. The camera and door bell are located to the right of the main doors. All visitors will still be required to check in at the front office and show identification. This new system will allow all of the outside doors to be locked during the school day.

We are very fortunate to have such an amazing staff at Erie Middle School. I have the opportunity to see adults going above and beyond to support students academically, socially, and emotionally everyday. There are two recognition programs available that allow parents to nominate teachers whom they feel are deserving. I wanted to make sure that you have the following information: 1) The Jared Polis Foundation sponsors a recognition program.They will award 8 Colorado public school teachers with JPF Teacher Recognition Awards, which include a $1,000 discretionary award for the teacher and a $1,500 teacher-directed school grant. Principals, school employees, students, parents and teacher colleagues can nominate a teacher. The nomination deadline is April 5th. Congratulations to our Odyssey of the Mind Team for placing 2nd in regionals in their category. They will now be competing in the state finals on April 13th.

Bring all of your recycled items to the EMS Counseling Office from April 1 - April 30th. This year we have collected almost $1500 in FREE MONEY from recycled items and box tops.
