The Impact After working out of donated space in East Harlem, Casa found a home in Mott Haven in 1998; since then we have been providing, young and adult women leadership and empowerment workshops, healing circles and retreats, reproductive health classes and anti violence services to ge nerations of families. The impact of the request to move out of the spac e is that womyn and children will not have access to a home outside the ir home, a holistic safe that has provided a respite for over 10,000 wom en and organizations nationally. The loss of a much needed space loose to heal from their experience of violence, poverty and oppression and empower themselves to create health and well-being in their lives and their community The Request and Actions to support right now: We request your support to strategize on next steps and save the space. Write a letter of support and contact your allies and comrades to mobilize them to support our efforts Join us at our next meeting on April 15th from 6pm-8pm @ CASA Contact political leaders and community leaders inviting them to our next meetings .
