Investigate what opportunities are open to a musician/educator. Dispel any unfounded ideas that teachers are failed musicians !!! Analyse what earning opportunities there are in teaching. Understand what makes a successful teacher.

What Skills might you need to be a teacher? make a list of the skills you would need to be an educator, this should include both soft skills and employability skills. Which of these skills do you currently possess? Research what qualifications you would need to teach at a music college. Are these different to what you would need to be a private tutor? Mock up an advert for you as a teacher, including all the information that you feel potential clients would want to see, try to make it eye catching as there will be many similar ads around.
