AIF (Italian Trainers Association/Associazione Italiana Formatori-www.aifonline.it) is a no profit association that, since 1975, is the professional point of reference for those individuals who in Italy are dedicated to adult learning processes. Since 2007, AIF organizes the ForFilmFest-Movie for Training Festival in partnership with a worldwide recognized cinematographic institution such as the Bologna Cinematheque and holding the event in an important venue as the Lumire Movie Theatre of Bologna. The ForFilmFest is an innovative project through which AIF wants to develop and further deepen years of thinking and research methodological and applicative- about Cinema and movies as resources and tools for adult learning and education. At the same time, AIF ForFilmFest focuses the increasing utilization of audiovisual narratives and languages developed by Organizations in order to meet training and people development needs and purposes. Each of the previous three editions was attended by an average of over 200 trainers, consultants, educators, corporate professionals, scholars and experts in cinema and other disciplines. Indeed, the event targets, in first instance, professionals in the field of training and human resource development, but, at the same time, it is open to a public of non-specialists (with the exception of specific workshops reserved to registered members only). The original format of the ForFilmFest blends the characteristics of a film Festival with the dimensions of a Seminar/Workshop and offers: - Preview screenings - Special screenings and Events - Debates with directors, actors and other cinema professionals - Movie Retrospectives on the main theme of each edition - Vision and Debriefing: screenings followed by discussion facilitated by experts, whenever possible with the presence of the directors, on the possible training and educational impact of films - Lectures (by experts and scholars) - Workshops and practical application labs on the use of images and different audiovisual languages and tools in training activities

- Presentations (in the specific section The Training Show) by corporate, public or no profit sectors of projects, experiences and training applications based on audiovisual languages, narratives and tools

* Fighting Ignorance is the main theme that the FORFILMFEST Project Committee has chosen for the 2013. For trainers and educators, fighting ignorance today has nothing to do with illiteracy but with the loss of sense of our daily actions, with the increase of fundamentalism and identitarian obsessions, the detachment of political committment, and so on.
