Yarn Bombing Installation


Mill Square, Lobethal August 2013 Basic Web Crochet Pattern

This is a basic pattern please feel free to modify it or create your own web design. Webs of many colours and sizes are sought for the Yarn bombing. You may also like to embellish your web beads, or sequins? Use your imagination, get creative and have fun!
ABBREVIATIONS This pattern uses US terminology ch sl st sc tr picot = chain = slip stitch = single crochet = treble = ch 3, 1 sl st in first ch

PATTERN
Ch 8, close to a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. Round 1: Ch 5 (count as 1 tr + 1 ch), (1 tr, ch 1) 11 times in ring, 1 sl st in 4th ch at beginning of the round there are 12 tr. Round 2: Ch 9 (count as 1 tr + 5 ch), (1 tr in next tr, ch 5) 11 times, 1 sl st in 4th ch at beg of round. Round 3: Ch 11 (count as 1 tr + 7 ch), (1 tr in next tr, ch 7) 11 times, 1 sl st in 4th ch at beg of round. Round 4: Ch 13 (count as 1 tr + 9 ch), (1 tr in next tr, ch 9) 11 times, 1 sl st in 4th ch at beg of round. Round 5: Ch 15 (count as 1 tr + 11 ch), (1 tr in next tr, ch 11) 11 times, 1 sl st in 4th ch at beg of round. Continue, adding 2 ch between the tr for each round, until you have reached desired size. If desired, you can finish with an edging row. Ch 1 (do not count as a st), (same number of sc in next ch-space as there are chains in said ch-space, 1 picot) to end of round, 1 sl st in first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends, block if you want (it's not compulsory).

You may also like to include a comment about why you think connections to heritage and community are important. st 2. Webs must be received before 1 August 2013 to be included in the installation. 3. Unfortunately, webs will not be able to be returned. The Lobethal Community may reuse the webs at future public events.
