Hi there everyone,
We would like to introduce to you 'Trouble' he is worked in basic stitches and
rounds, stands at approximately 23” tall , worked in Aran Yarn (Worsted 10ply)
and is written in US Terminology. We hope you enjoy making him as much as we
enjoyed designing him.

Now that we have listed all of the materials we can now move on to make
'Trouble' , the first steps of the pattern will be making claws, hands and arms
and the hand wire frames, of course if you do not want to use wire in this
pattern then just stuff as you work throughout, using wire is optional, continue
as follows:-

Claws x 12
Using Black DK Yarn and a 2.00mm hook:-
Ch8, join with a Sl St to form a cirle and Ch1:-

Repeat the above pattern a further 11 times as you will need 6 claws for the feet

and put to the side for now as we will now be making the hands and arms, so

Keeping the yarn still attached once you have made the little finger, we will join
the fingers as follows, when joining the fingers make sure that the knuckles
are all showing on top of the hand:-

Here is where you will now make the wire frame measurements for both
hands, for this part you will need Strong Wire, Wire Cutters, Electrical Tape and
a Measuring Tape:-
You will need to measure out 2 x 9” wire (for 1 st to 3rd fingers=1 piece)
Then measure out 2 x 7” (for the 2nd finger=1 piece)
With the first piece of wire insert into the 1st and 3rd fingers of the hand and
shape until you are happy, once happy with the shape, insert the 2 nd piece of
wire into the 2nd finger and shape once happy with shape, bend the 2 nd piece
around the centre of the 1st piece and then wrap in electrical tape to secure.

Before re-inserting hand wire frame be sure to stuff only the tips of the
fingers , then you will insert the hand wire frame and stuff around to secure,
Continue stuffing from this point onwards, we will continue:-

Re-attach the yarn to the other little finger and follow the above directions to
form the 2nd hand and arm, when forming the wire frame and once inserted you
will need to bend the hand in the opposite direction to the first one you made as
we designed the knuckles so that the hand could be manipulated both ways
when creating him.
Once you have completed the hand and arm Sc until you reach the centre of the
inside are, F.O, Leaving a long thread for sewing to the body later on.
Now with the 6 claws you put aside for each hand earlier on, you will now sew
each claw to the tips of each finger.
Once you have done this we will now move on to make the feet, legs and body,
so continue:-
Feet, Legs & Body
To form the feet we will need to make the toes, please note we will be making 3
toes for each foot, 1 middle toe and 2 outer toes:-

When stuffing the head make sure you stuff well packing out those cheeks.
Once the head is completely stuffed we will move on to making the facial
features, so continue:-

Using Cream Aran Yarn and a darning needle embroider on the details, once
you have done that we will make the eyes, so continue:-

Using Cherry Red Aran Yarn and a 3.00mm hook:-
1)6sc into a MR, Sl St and F.O (6)
With Black DK Yarn and a darning needle embroider a black line on to the red
eyes, pin to the green eye patches and sew into place.
Once you have done that we will move on to making the upper and lower
eyelids, so continue:-
Lower Eyelids x 2
Using Cream Aran Yarn and a 3.00mm hook:-
Ch9, F.O and pin underneath each eye.
Upper Eyelids x 2
Ch14, F.O and pin above the eyes and out towards the edge of each eye patch,
Use the cream yarn and a darning needle to do a running stitch along the outer
edge and where it folds then embroider the detail using the photo for guidance.
You will now need to pin both eye patches to the head and sew into place.
Now that we have made the eyes, we can now move on to making the mouth, so
continue:-

Muzzle
Using Cherry Red Aran Yarn and a 3.00mm hook:-

Follow the muzzle pattern until R5 and then do as follows:-

Pin to the bottom of the muzzle, once happy with placement sew into place, you
will need to use White Aran Yarn and a darning needle to embroider on the
teeth. (See Photo.)

We will now move on to making the nose, so continue:-

Follow Part 2 of the ear from R1-R10 but once complete do not fasten off, Ch1
and Sc all the way around entire ear.
Place the Cream ear part on to the Green ear part and sew together by stitching
all the way around the edges, now sew this to Part 1 of the ear (See Photo.)
Repeat this for the 2nd Ear but remember you need a left and a right ear so the
cream needs to be sewn to the opposite side of the first ear, you will then need
to pin to the head and sew each ear into place.

Now that we have completed the facial features , we will move on to making the
hair strip for 'Trouble's Head' so continue:-
Hair Strip
Using White Aran Yarn and a 3.00mm hook:-
2-3)Sc into each st, Ch1 and turn (35)
Pin to the head and sew into place, Cut lengths of White Aran Yarn measuring
10” and use the white strip as a guide for placement.
If you are not familiar with implanting hair follow these steps, Place hook into
one of the stitches in the strip, place a halved white length onto the hook, pull
through one of the stitches on the strip with your hook to form a loop, place
fastened off ends through the loop, take hold of the fastened off ends and pull
tight to form a knot against the strip.

Once you have placed all lengths into the white strip onto the head, use a wire
brush to brush the hair until it is fluffy, then trim if necessary.
Now that we have completed the hair strip we can focus on the body features,
so continue:-
Firstly, we will be making the tummy panel:-
Tummy Panel

Now is the time to sew the head to the body, use your preferred head support,
once you are happy sew the head to the body, when sewing stuff around your
chosen head support to secure into place.

Starting with Heather Green Aran Yarn and a 3.00mm hook:-

For the next part you will need to turn the panel you have just made to the side
and do as follows:-

For the next part you will need to turn so that the unweaved ends are facing
you and do as follows:-
With the Green Yarn still attached and working in the back loops:-

Weave in all the ends, and repeat this for the 2nd back panel.
Once you have completed the 2nd back panel pin both panels to 'Trouble's' back
and sew into place.
We will now focus on making the back armour, so continue:-

For the back armour you will be making it in 2 parts, so continue:-

Weave in all ends and then do as follows:-
Join the same Green Aran Yarn to the bottom centre of the Triangle you have
just made with a Sl St and Ch1 you will then do a surface crochet up the centre
of the triangle and then F.O
Now that we have done the first part of the back armour we will move on to
making the 2nd part, so continue:-

For the next part, join the same coloured yarn at the bottom centre part of part
2 with a Sl St and Ch1, you will need to Surface crochet up the centre of the 2 nd
part 3 times and then F.O weave in all the ends.
Pin the 1st part of the back armour to the bottom of the back. (See Photo.)

Pin the 2nd part just underneath the 1st part and sew into place making sure you
leave the bottom part unsewn to give the fanned effect, sew along the top of the
2nd part of the back armour to secure to also give the fanned effect (See Photo's
for guidance):-
We will now be focusing on making the scales so continue:-

Join the same Green Aran Yarn to the unworked loops of R2 with a Sl St and
Ch1:-
1)Sc into each of the unworked loop, Ch1 and turn (24)
Weave in all the ends and then do as follows:-
Pin the scales to each shoulder and sew into place. (See Photo.)
