Chain 1, skip 1 st, and continue crocheting into the

Crochet around the 2nd ear – 2 sc, 2 inc, 2 sc, sl st.


Fasten off.

Embroider mouth and nose with small stitches using


brown yarn.

Banana
Work 12 ch with yellow yarn, skip 1 st and continue
crocheting – sl st, sc, 7 hdc, 1 sc, 1 sl st. Fasten off,
leaving long tail.

Sew the head to the body. Fasten banana to the mouth


and arms with several stitches.
Iron the bookmark through a wet cloth.
Glue eyes.

Appendix STITCHES USED IN THE PATTERN

RECOMMENDED YARN Slip knot


Loop the yarn around your left index finger.
Cotton yarn ‘Landysh’ (Troitskaya worsted factory) –
50 g/115 m, Sport / 5 ply (12 wpi)

Slip the yarn from your finger, and hold the loop
between your thumb and index finger.

Cotton yarn CHARM (Vita Cotton) – 50 g/115 m,


Sport / 5 ply (12 wpi)

Use the crochet hook, held in your right hand, to draw


the loop up and around the hook.

Cotton yarn RENE (Alpina). 50 g/105 m, Sport / 5 ply


(12 wpi)

Chain (ch)
Start with slip knot, yarn over, pull the strand of yarn
though the loop on your hook – you’ve got one chain.
Continue to repeat the process to create more chains.

Slip Stitch (sl st)


Insert the hook in the next chain, yarn over and pull the

strand of yarn through the chain and the loop on the Increase (inc)
hook. In the beginning (end or middle) of the row make 2
single crochets in 1 stitch of previous round.

Single Crochet (sc)


Insert the hook in the chain, yarn over, pull the strand
of yarn through the chain, yarn over again and pull the
strand of yarn through both loops on the hook. Starting Loops back, front, both.
from round 2 insert the hook in the stitch of previous
round.

Decrease (dec)
In the place where you need decrease pull up a loop in
next 2 stitches of previous round, yarn over, pull the
strand of yarn through all 3 loops on the hook, counts
as one single crochet.
