Notes
❖ use the same yarn weight for the doll and clothes.
❖ each round is worked in a continuous spiral (unless stated otherwise).
❖ read through the pattern completely before beginning to crochet.
❖ work through the entire stitch (not FLO or BLO) unless stated otherwise.
❖ use a stitch marker to mark the rounds and count your stitches!
❖ try to crochet tightly to avoid holes (unless stated otherwise).

head. Childe’s head can be quite heavy depending of the yarn

1• In the longer side of each piece, in white, FLO

3• In the loop that is next to the chain (see
picture) with white, 2sc, and keep doing hdc to
the very end, fasten off, use the yarn to sew the
piece in place so it doesn’t move.
4• With brown, starting from the 2nd stitch from
the top, FLO 7 slst . Repeat in the other piece
5• Sew the two pieces using black

Red cloth

Indenting Eyes
❖ Skin colour
1• Insert the yarn from the back of the head to the side
of the eye, pass the yarn behind the eye and insert it
back in to pull it next to the other eye.
2• Pull the yarn behind the eye and finish bringing the
needle to the starting point. Pull to indent the eyes a
bit and tie the ends. Hide the knot inside the head

❖ Pink
1• Insert the yarn from the back of the head to the
bottom of the eye, make a line of two stitches and
repeat on the other side.

Assembling
Body
1• Sew collar on neck

2• Add and decoration with black

3• Wrap black yarn on leg

4• Add the jacket, no need to sew, the arms will hold it

in place

Arms
1• We are going to do a simple loop to allow the hands
to move
2• Start inserting the needle in the interior of the arm,
pass it back in the next stitch
3• Pass the needle from one side of the body to the
other side
4• insert the needle in the other arm interior, pass it
back in the next stitch

5• Insert the needle in the same stitch of the body to
return it back to the other side
6• Tie a knot in the interior of the arm and cut the yarn
excess

Back cloth
1• Attach red cloth as pictured

2• Create a chain in light brown and add it under the

arm
3• Add a triangle in felt to the jacket's back-top

Extra decoration
This is the time to be creative and add your personal touch to Childe. In my case
I added some beads to decorate the jacket and pant.

Head
1• Insert the skin colour yarn from side to side on the
neck
2• Pass each end from the bottom of the head to the top
of the head
3• Make a knot in the top of the head and hide the yarn
inside the head

1dc, 1hdc, skip one stitch and join with a slst

8• 12ch, from the 2nd stitch, 1slst, 1hdc, 1dc, 6trc,

1dc, 1hdc, skip one stitch and join with a slst

9• 15ch, from the 2nd stitch, 1slst, 1hdc, 1dc, 9trc,

the middle of one hair strand from the first level. Doing
so, will cover any space left by the hair strands of the first

15trc, skip two stitch and join with a slst

5-7• 15ch, from the 2nd stitch, 1slst, 1hdc, 1dc,

Third layer

Skip third row and move to the four row of BLOs using
slst, try to be in the middle of one hair strand from the
second level.

1-6 • 15ch, from the 2nd stitch, 1slst, 1hdc, 1dc,
11trc, skip two stitch and join with a slst (make
sure the first and last hair strips of the row are
join together

Fourth layer

Move to the five row of BLOs using slst, try to be in the

middle of one hair strand from the second level.

1-3 • 13ch, from the 2nd stitch, 1slst, 1hdc, 1dc, 9trc,
skip two stitch and join with a slst (make sure
the first and last hair strips of the row are join
together

Last layer

Move to the last row of BLOs using slst,

1• 7ch, from the 2nd stitch, 1slst, 5sc, join with a

slst in the opposite loop on the row, fasten off
(hide the end on the back of the hair cap

If the hair is too curly, using an iron in low

setting, cover the hair with a piece of cloth and
heat the hair for a few seconds

1• Make sure to align the centre of the hair and the centre of the head. Use pins to hold the hair in place
2• Once you have all the hair strands in the position you like, either glue or sew the hair strands
3• Add the earring (optional)

4• Sew the mask in place
