us Corporate Commercial bank is seeking an IT Business Analyst to help develop solutions for business problems and maintain client relationships by providing status updates, leading meetings and creating and maintaining plans. Candidates should have experience evaluating software application in IT environments. Knowledge of Custody (fixed equities, income, Fx) is a plus. Summary The primary responsibility of the Business Analyst is to help develop solutions for business problems, capturing and documenting functional requirements around which a solution can be developed. The Business Analyst also helps develop and maintain client relationships by providing status updates, leading meetings, creating and maintaining plans, etc. Key responsibilities may include:

Identifying business/functional requirements by working with key client personnel or end-users Evaluating software applications/IT environments, analyzing gaps between current/desired states Designing and executing use & test cases for custom application development projects Discovering and documenting business and IT processes, workflows and requirements Assisting the sales/ client-facing teams with activities for onboarding clients Interfacing with other functional and technical groups within the organization

Preferred Skills

Strong knowledge in the area of requirements definition and software development lifecycle methodology Significant experience with Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint and Visio Knowledge of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, FX, etc.), and trading processes (front/middle/back office, order entry, clearing & settlement, etc.) Basic project management experience Strong writing, problem solving, communication and client-facing skills Able to utilize a business analysis strategic roadmap and project archetypes for guiding the organization towards increased business agility and reduced IT rework. Able to use know-how to incrementally adapt current state BA work products for better requirements and business level specifications Proven techniques for defining and/or improving requirements With proven techniques for collaborating to define requirements and specifications with Business Architects and IT professionals
