Description

As if to answer Deputy Minority Leader Risa Hontiveros’ argument that Resolution 737 does not specify a mode by which to make changes to economic provisions, Speaker Nograles, along with 173 other House representatives, has produced Rep. Luis Villafuerte’s “ghost resolution”, now called Resolution 1109, like a rabbit out of a hat.  The resolution calls upon the HOR to “convene for the purpose of considering proposals to amend or revise the constitution, upon a vote of three fourths of all the members of Congress”.

i believe that the con-ass is constitutional.. by congress means both the senate and the HOR.. and 3/4 of the members of the congress does not mean 3/4 of HOR and 3/4 of senate but 3/4 of both.. also, this process only allows amendments to be proposed, proposed amendments shall still undergo a plebiscite before it becomes valid. Let's not be sOOO pesimistic about this, let's do this for the growth of our economy. allow the proposals to come in, then if you don't like it, reject it in the plebiscite.

Can someone please make a jingle out of the names of the 1109 endorsers and upload it somewhere (like youtube, facebook, etc)? i guess, that's a good 'marketing' strategy during the 2010 elections... lol

To the congressman who signed the resolution 1109, what are you afraid of? If you are an honest and good person people will vote for you. dont be greedy and let other qualified candidates take your place it is a cycle , you dont live long so be kind and nice to our future generations. thank you
