This 26/12/12 Proposals to PRB errors, Omissions and Alleged Anomalies Committee

1. Unfair down-grading in salary scale for Educators who moved from PSSA aided schools to State Schools: Educators (Secondary) possessing a degree who taught in PSSA colleges prior to PRB report 2008 and moved to Government colleges afterwards lost 3 incremental credits (Rs 20,800 for educators who joined before PRB 2008 to Rs 19,000 if they shifted to Government colleges afterwards). (See Paragraph 22.73 Recommendation 15 in PRB Report 2008 for Ministry of Education & HR) These educators need to earn an additional 3 incremental credits because it is very unjust because PSSA schools are also covered by the PRB. Prior to PRB report 2008, Educator (Secondary) with a degree were earning Rs 14,200 and if you see the MASTER SALARY CONVERSION TABLE it should be Rs 20,800. Therefore, as per recommendation in PRB 2008 we lost Rs 1800 or the equivalent of 3 increments. 2. Incremental credits for years of past experience: At present Educators only earn a maximum of 3 incremental credits whatever be their number of years of past experience. It is a disparity because these educators have also contributed to the welfare of the students. We advise that Educators (Secondary) earn up to at least 8 incremental credits. (1 increment for each year of continuous service) 3. Incremental credits for additional qualifications: Educators (Secondary) possessing a post-graduate in any field of education in addition to any postgraduate in their respective fields should be eligible for 2 incremental credits with a Post-graduate certificate, 4 incremental credits with a post-graduate diploma and 6 incremental credits with a MASTERS degree. We need to be rewarded for qualifications in both of our specialization in Education and our field of teaching.

We sincerely hope our request would be taken into consideration this time because as you see we have justified ourselves clearly. We rely on your wise committee. Thank you for your consideration of our proposal in anticipation.
