Post-Game Quotes
ANGELS MANAGER MIKE SCIOSCIA: What did you see from Felix that limited the Angels tonight? Felix is tough and weve gotten to him here and there but tonight he was making pitches when he had to. We hit some balls a little harder early on with not much to show for it. He changed speeds well; he pitched a strong game for them. It seemed like Jered had no room for error It goes both ways. I think if we had gotten on the board it might have let Weav do a couple things; he was pitching with his back against the wall. We gave them a run early on a play where Hank just couldnt come up with a throw. At 2 outs in the th 6 we just couldnt close that inning out and those guys had good at bats, kept it going, and got a cushion with Smoaks home run. What do you see for the reason the offense is struggling (outside a 13-run game in Chicago) Its kind of hit-or-miss a little bit. Even on the home stand we were getting it done but not with just attacking the ball the way we can. On this road trip, outside of the one game in Chicago, weve had trouble putting at-bats together. Seattles done a good job the first two games of the series, were going to do a better job of pressuring them tomorrow.
