Upon meeting Commander Delaney, his family and surveying their home, I immediately knew that wed be doing all would could to help make life a little easier for Brian, said Sean Sheppard, CEO. Our volunteers and sponsors are extremely excited to serve this member of our armed forces. Since graduating from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in 1995, DeLaney has served as a First Division Officer, Combat System Officer, Operations Officer, Executive Officer and eventually Commanding Officer of the USS Harpers Ferry. During his service he completed deployments to the Arabian Gulf, volunteered for a tour in Iraq to support Operation Iraqi Freedom and earned his Masters Degree in Transportation Management. With a focus to restore the homes of disabled veteran homeowners, H3 falls in line with Embraces mission to mobilize college student volunteers and community members to serve less fortunate members of civilian and veteran communities. The title sponsors for this project are McCarthy Building Companies Inc., The

Home Depot Foundation, SDG&E and The Jack In The Box Foundation. All Embrace programs aim to create a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic service learning experience for college students, connect young adults to veteran community members in need, raise awareness of low income, disabled veterans, and increase the value and efficient use of their homes.
