MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING: Moved: that the Minutes of the previous meeting 27 June 2013 were read as a true and accurate record. Wendy Haywood/Fiona Shea MATTERS ARISING - NIL CORRESPONDENCE IN A letter was received from Kate Anderson request for funding for Liam Smith and Kylie Lyders attending the New Zealand Secondary Schools Athletics Championships in Hamilton in December. Moved that the PTA donate $250 for each student attending Donna Osborne/Kerren Crawford A letter was received from Kate Anderson request for funding for Kylie Lyders who will be attending the NZCAF in Napier in October. Moved that the PTA donate $250 for Kylie Lyders to attend the NZCAF Donna Osborne/Kerren Crawford CORRESPONDENCE OUT - NIL Principals Report John Auld (Tabled) Moved that the Principals Report be accepted John Auld/Wendy Haywood A discussion was held with regard to the purchase of a Freeview box and satellite dish and installation for the school library. Action: John to get quote for Freeview box and satellite dish/installation.

Financial Report Christine Young (Tabled) Moved that the Financial Report be accepted Fiona Shea/Donna Osborne General Business PTA Promotion John is putting together PTA information to be added to the school newsletter explaining the role of the PTA, and the importance of the PTA continuing to raise funds for the school. Donna gave John the PTA balance sheet outlining the money raised and donated by the PTA. This is to be included with the PTA information. To go out the second week in November 2013. PTA Annual General Meeting 2013 Thursday 5 December at 7.30pm, followed by a general meeting. Kerren to make up an advertisement for the Tuapeka Times, advertising the PTA AGM. Possibility of running an Ipad evening in conjunction with PTA meeting. Action: Gillian to get quotes/purchase Ipads. Drama Night School drama night next week, PTA to make a donation towards the cost of the production. Moved that the PTA donate $300 towards the cost of the school Drama night Donna Osborne/John Auld Lawrence and District phone books There is an advertisement in the Tuapeka Times each week reminding people to make amendments, deletions, or additions until the end of September at the Pharmacy. Donna to make changes to the Master Copy on the memory stick in October, printing in November. 150th jubillee celebrations of education in the Lawrence district 2014 John to organise a committee to run this event.
