Cyber law: Refer to any law relating to protecting the Internet and other online communication technologies Needs for cyber law: Integrity and security information Security of Government Data Intellectual property rights Privacy and confidential of information Legal status of online transactions

Syariah law: Only applies to the Muslims It is a sacred law of Islam as revealed by Prophet Muhammad S.W.T. It is totally based on Gods commands on duties towards Allah and relationship of one Muslim with another The main sources: Al-Quran the words of Allah Sunnah: rules deduced from the traditions Ijma: consensus of jurists of any particular rule Qiyas: deductions from reasoning by ijtihad or anology The aims of law (Syariah Law and Civil Law): To attain justice To encourage the doing of what is right or just in particular set of circumstances

In our country, Syariah Law is concerned only on a few matters like family laws in respect of marriage, divorce and so on. But for cyber law, only on civil it introduces us about law regarding the cyber world. Just like other countries, Malaysia is also involved in evolution of technology. Internet has become a necessity for everybody in business, communication and many more. There are some of irresponsible that are using internet in negative way such as online fraud,

identity theft, virus attack and hacking. Therefore, Malaysian government has already taking a big step to overcome these problems by introducing a few acts of law that can be used for cybercrimes. Here are a few cases regarding the cyber-crimes all over the world. According to Maqasid alShariah (Cyber Perspective) are being categorized into five which are religion, soul, mind, wealth and dignity. Wealth: Hacking: Myanmar attacked Malaysia Reason: 17 August 2012, based on sermons, the people of Myanmar now in serious condition. They were brutally murdered but it is not being noticed by the world. Malaysia as a neighbor, do not give attention to them but focus on Palestin and Afghanistan. The way they attacked Malaysia is wrong and illegal. They show their anger by hacking our system just to let us know about the crisis in their place. Even in Islam it is not permissible to do like that. This is because; the media, website and many more provide the youngsters an easy way to access all this things. They tend to try it themselves after watching the porn. This is why, Malaysia enforced to have cyber law so that websites that contain pornography will be blocked. Soul/Life: Sending computer virus: Meant to harm other peoples properties. Created virus to harm other people is obviously wrong either in civil law or shariah law. People tend to see it as a small matter since we have so many antiviruses being sold. Selling pirated software: To gain money from selling or doing services by using pirated software.
