Annual Irish Feis and Festival
Admission: $10 per person; children under 16 free as long as they are accompanied by an adult Time/Location: 9am-6pm; south campus Lacrosse fields Description: The Irish Studies Program at Hofstra is proud to host and to support the Nassau County Ancient Order of Hibernians in presenting its annual Irish Feis and Festival. The Feis is a celebration of Irish culture and history. The day features traditional dance and piping competitions, a marketplace, plus Irish language and Gaelic sports workshops. Event: Reel Ireland Film Series and LGBT Month:
Breakfast on Pluto
Time/Location: 6pm-8pm, 246 East Wing Axinn Library (2
Floor of the Axinn Library) Description: Directed by Neil Jordan, based on the Patrick McCabe novel, and starring Cillian Murphy and Stephen Rea. The film focuses upon the life journey of a trans woman and explores the relationship between identity, violence, and exclusion.
