Houston Metro Police Union Endorses Barry Smitherman for Attorney General AUSTIN Today Barry Smitherman, Chairman of the Railroad Commission and conservative candidate for Attorney General, announced that the Houston Metro Police Union has endorsed his campaign for Attorney General. After careful consideration and going through a board process, I am pleased to say the Houston Metro Police Union will endorse Barry Smitherman for Texas Attorney General, said Robert Lozano, president.
