Pointy kitty

MATERIALS NEEDED: 1/4 yard of your favorite kitty-making fabric scraps of wool felt for stripes, eyes and nose 2 button eyes embroidery oss for whiskers GENERAL INFORMATION: sew all pieces with right sides together sew 1/4" seams clip seams at corners finished size is about 9" tall HEAD
Cut the pattern pieces out of double thickness of your fabric. Place D on the fold.
pin and sew head gusset (D) to one side of head (A) and then other (A)
BODY
tail and up back stopping short to leave a wider neck opening for stufng
STUFFING
Turn pieces right side out. Im not going to lie to you, Pointy Kitty is a bear to turn out. Be careful not to split seams open while turning out those narrow apendages. Use the eraser end of a pencil to push legs, ears and tail mostly through and then a pin to pull through the edges. Stuff carefully. First the pointy bits and then the rest. For best standing-up-on-its-own results stuff rmly.
ATTACH
After stuffing stitch together bit of neck that was left open. Pin stuffed head to stuffed body at whatever jaunty angle you like and blindstitch in place.
FINISHING
Cut the head and body stripes, eyes and nose out of felt. Pin into position and sew down with blanket stitch using thread or embroidery oss. Sew on button eyes and embroider whiskers. Youre done!
