ADMISSION NOTIFICATION FOR ONSITE-ONLINE COURSES IN AIR AND SPACE LAW - 2014-15

NALSAR has become one of the leading institutions in the country and has been consistently ranked No.1 Law University in India. Centre for Air and Space Law (CASL), NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad has come up with highly innovative courses in Aviation, Space, Telecommunications, GIS and Remote Sensing Laws. The objectives of these courses are to cater to the needs of unprecedented aviation growth and the commercialization of space and telecom industries, which call for thousands of skilled manpower to meet the managerial requirements of the rapidly growing airports, airlines, aerospace and telecommunication sectors. There is an acute shortage of aerospace professionals around the world. The aforesaid courses are of a unique value-added qualifications which would help the aspirants to acquire global placements in aero-space and telecom industries. NALSARs initiative aims to institutionalize an academy-industry partnership in the domain of Aero-space Technology and Laws which makes it first of its kind not only in India but in the entire Asia-Pacific Region. These courses can be taken even by working professionals. These courses would be conducted in the On-Site and On-line mode. Centre for Air and Space Law (CASL), NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad invites applications for admission to the following courses:S.No 1. 2. 3. 4. Name of the Course Two-Year Masters Degree in Aviation Law and Air Transport Management (MALATM) Two-Year Masters Degree in Space and Telecommunication Laws (MSTL) One-Year PG Diploma in Aviation Law and Air Transport Management (PGDALATM) One-Year Post-Graduate Diploma in GIS & Remote Sensing Laws (PGDGRL)

Eligibility: i) Bachelors degree or an equivalent degree in any discipline from any recognized university with 50% marks; or ii) 3-year Degree/Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) along with three years industry experience. Admission Procedure: Interested candidates, on or before April 30, 2014 are required to submit the filled-in application form available on the website, along with a Statement of Purpose (SOP), an attested copy of Degree/Diploma certificate along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 1000/- drawn on favour of Registrar, NALSAR-CASL A/c, payable at Hyderabad. Classes will commence in July 2014. 1

Selection Process: The selection would be based on (i) the written performance in SOP, (ii) Group Discussion and (iii) Interview. Centres: Hyderabad and New Delhi. Conduct of the Programme: Masters Degree and PG Diplomas are of Blended version (a mix of Onsite and Online) sessions spread across four and two semesters respectively. Each semester will have Onsite intense sessions by the subject experts, followed by Online sessions where participants will work on the case studies/project assignments and upload them on the dedicated web portal. Under the mode of intense e-learning process, the students can have access with subject experts pertaining to queries on the subject. We would also upload the updated relevant material from time to time. At the end of the final semester, students are required to submit a Dissertation. Attendance at the On-site sessions is compulsory.
