WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTING THE PRODUCT

This was a brand new experience for me, because the video recorder that me and my group used was a HD camera. In previous projects we had used DV cameras, for us DV cameras were easy to use and they weren't to complex to use so we couldnt really do what we wanted, thats why we chose to work with a HD camera, because it was new and would enhance our skills.

When working with the HD camera me and my group found that it was defiantly a big challenge for us as it was a complex to use as it had many settings on the camera itself.

Finally me and my group at the end of constructing the product thought back to the decision of using a HD camera instead of a DV as a good decision as we got to learn more about new equipment which was really useful. This had to be one of the best challenges me and my group done because we it was fun and we got to experiment a lot.

This had to be one of the most time consuming projects ever. You may think that its a quick process but its not, in my opinion the quickest thing about this project was the filming after that its the long process of finalizing everything and that takes so much of your time and if you are to get anything wrong in the process it becomes stressful as you have to start all over again.

The equipment that me and my group used were the obvious a HD camera which was the canon 600d slr, we used a regular tripod and a monopod and we also used professional lighting.

The main program that we did use was final cut pro. This was because me and my team knew our way around and it was a better editing software for all aspects than iMovie, Adobe After Effects, Etc. in the end after getting the final product we got the result we wanted.

Before using different technologies what me and my group had to do was that we had to do background research in to were we wanted to film so location hunting, we had to make a list of all the camera angles and shots we wanted to use and we had to get the set design ready before we filmed as it would be easier on the day of filming.

The next step was to film because we had done everything before hand sorting out what camera angles and shots we wanted to use we knew hot to set up our camera and also because the set was set up before we filmed it was a matter of just filming as everything was ready. The filming process was quickest because everything was done before hand.

Editing was the next step this was the longest but we had three people helping how to get the final product so it was a bit quicker than we had expected we done all of our editing on a Mac as we could use final cut pro better on it and it was easier to use.

For sound we never really done much apart from add music into our final product. All the sounds throughout the product apart from the music was created on the day of filming.

Finally it was to export the product this was easy but it did take a long time to export because we had to render it a few times as the file size was too big, all in all these were the steps we took to create our product.

We used all files which were necessary to us. This was because we never wanted to go out and use all files because that would take a very long time to do.

No we havent the only things about the sound was that we put a song in it the rest were our own sounds that we created on the day of filming. On our images we just have put text for out titles in there.

H OW H AV E YO U P U B L I S H E D YO U R WORK ON THE INTERNET

The first step of this was that we needed to publish it on YouTube because we wouldnt have been able to publish it anywhere else. From YouTube we then posted it to our groups blog and we also posted it on our Facebook page.
