Pride Musical Shabbat Service and Picnic in the Park

JCC South Denver and Family Programs are partnering with Keshet to kick off
PrideFest. Join LGBTfamilies and friends for a musical Shabbat service and din-
ner in the park. Bring your own picnic dinner to enjoy. Keshet is an organization
that works for the full equality and inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans-
gender Jews in Jewish life.Also, on Sunday June 22, showyour pride and support
by marching with Keshet and many other local Jewish organizations under the
banner "Jewish Community Pride" at the Pride March that follows a path along
Colfax from Cheesman Park to the PrideFest at Civic Center Park. For more

Family Programs is dedicated to young families with children ages six and under, offering classes, programs and events specifically
designed to help families growand learn together. Family Programs holds Jewish holiday celebrations, parenting and pre-natal classes, Move
& Learn parent/caregiver classes, family events, concerts and celebrations.
Family Camp at the JCC Ranch Camp

Saddle up for a weekend of fun! What better way is there to end your summer
than with a Jewish dude ranch experience at the JCC Ranch Camp? Leave the
cooking and cleaning to us, as you and your children fall in love with our beau-
tiful 400-acre site in the Black Forest.
Enjoy a JCC Ranch Camp style Shabbat with singing, dancing and community
celebrations. Activities for all ages will include horseback riding, crafts, hiking,
ropes course, evening activities, and more. This weekend-long session will be
jam-packed with family fun!

Designed for expectant parents, this innovative program combines childbirth ed-
ucation with an exploration of the Jewish traditions and rituals connected with
pregnancy, birth, and parenting. Instructors Rabbi Jeffrey Kaye (Judaic) and Sue
Geissler (prepared childbirth), lead this program created by the Colorado Agency
for Jewish Education and co-sponsored by the JCC and Rose Medical Center. Par-
ticipants will also jointhe Boot Campfor NewPartners andMiracles andMayhem
for Moms classes to discuss the anticipated post-partumexperience, communica-
tionskills, parental expectations, andchanging identities.All expectant parents are

Jonny began playing guitar at the age of 8.As a kid, his mother rode himto guitar
lessons onthe backof her motorcycle, withthe guitar tiedtohis backwitha bungee
cord. In 2007, Jonny began performing as Jonny Barber &The RhythmRazors. In
a very short time, Jonny Barber & The Rhythm Razors cut a wide swath across
todays rockabilly scene. In 2010, they played main stage at the Peoples Fair in
Denver and performed before a sold-out crowd at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Children who are 3 and 4 year old will enjoy the high quality early education of-
fered by the JCC ECC in a Hebrew-speaking environment. All classroom and
outdoor activities are conducted in Hebrew. Hebrew learning experiences are
combined with books, music, cooking and games. Children will also enjoy the
fabulous JCC ECC enrichments of music and gym during regular classroom
time. This class is taught by JCC ECC teacher, Hadass Tsabari.
This is a Mixed-Age class for children who will have turned 3 or 4 by October 1, 2014
$200 annual enrollment fee and $355/monthly tuition (must enroll for the entire
school year)

All JCC classes are non-denominational and open to one and all!
We do include some Jewish content in our music and cooking classes.
JCC classes are priced to be competitive with other similar programs.
What makes the JCC unique is that we have them all under one roof music,
movement, tumbling, soccer, cooking and yoga!
We offer prorated fees, 25% discount for multiples and siblings over the
age of 6 months, one free trial class before registering, and make-up classes
as available
Families can drop in on a Move and Learn class for $20/class (normally $15),
as long as that class already has the minimum number of participants needed
to run the class.
If you have a group of 5 friends or more and are interested in creating your
own class, we will try to find an instructor and schedule it on a day and time
that works for you!
