I remember my first time . . . being absorbed into a story about something that intrigued me enormously,
even though the actual topic is irrelevant at the moment because it started quite innocently as I first read
with deep curiosity and anticipation, even during the opening paragraphs of what I was reading, while I was
more and more consumed into what it was I hadn't yet known, and wanted to because the story wasn't just
about the story as much as it was about desire: wanting to draw me into an experience in my mind that was
as real as could be inside in such a way that whatever was on the outside didn't matter as much anymore and
perhaps even at all because my attention focused inside on the experience that was unfolding

Optimizing the time I spend doing my tasks: I do my tasks as fast as possible. So
I have more free time to make more money
In my area, I check professional tendences related to hardware and software technologies.
Then I invest some money in certifications and upgrade courses.... This increases my
value as a person and as a professional......
Even though, I respond for all my certifications (they are not simply a piece of paper
having ink being showed in the wall).... Most of certified professionals I know just
have certificates only to decorate the wall. The knowledge they might know when
finished the course and received the certificate simply means NOTHING. The paper
does not represent their knowledge. It's just a piece of paper....
Companies hire them, but for a value less than a good professional that can respond for
his certification....
It's necessary sells yourself, but you must have what you are selling...
This increase my value and reflect in my financial life. Summarizing in a simple word:
INTEGRITY
How I've sawn before INTEGRITY is what must happen between words and acts: they
must make sense... Say a thing and do other do not represent INTEGRITY...
represents HIPOCRISY.
For example: Hitler was not really an angel and his actions are condemnable , but in a
objective view he has integrity: what he said he did or make.

I have an opinion about that....

Some people do not give value for anything is for free....... They need to spend money
because if there is no price to it they think, subconsciously, that is not good.... It does
not matter whether is a language class or another kind of product or service.....
I have some colleagues that are interested to have English classes......They know that
I'm a teacher and they say: "Rod, could you teach English for us?" .... I answer :"Yes.
Could the classes be on the weekend?" ... They answer yes.... When I tell them the
classes are for free they their faces change to something like: "I will come here on the
weekend just to speak English?" ....
The answer in their deep fellings appears be "This guy does not earn money to teach
and I do not intend to be here have classes instead go to a barbecue eat and drink a
lot"....
But, if I put them in charge it seems that the fact of spending money let them to have
some responsability because if they don't come for free they lose nothing.. Paying for
the class they lose the money payed to me in advance....
i had only 1 student who paid £20 an hour

and i kept her for 1 year+ and we are still friends

Artigo adicionado a sua lista de favoritos
Um amigo meu me mandou esta charge nesse final de semana. Achei interessante porquê, embora com 2
anos de idade em 1969, durante bons anos, o tipo de educação que tive foi de escola pública e, se minhas
notas não fossem boas eu seria punido por não cuidar de minha responsabilidade que era, é claro, estudar e
ter boas notas. Mais interessante ainda é o fato de que eu estudei em escola pública que, pelo menos até
metade da década de 1980, eram as melhores escolas em termos de qualidade de ensino. Professores
exigentes e que dominavam suas respectivas áreas de ensino. Também pregavam a humildade, afinal eram
humildes em assumir que não sabiam tudo e, uma coisa que hoje é uma agulha no palheiro (e como tem
palha nesse palheiro hoje em dia), não vejo mais seja em escola particular ou seja em escola pública.
Nasci em uma família de origem simples mesmo: minha mãe só terminou apenas o primeiro grau em 1982
se não me engano, supletivo concluído por ela com muito orgulho pelo estudo das apostilas do Instituto
Universal Brasileiro. No caso do meu pai a coisa é outra. Depois dos 60 aquele elemento nem se esforçou
para terminar o segundo grau. Só sabia mesmo era olhar o que os outros tinham e ficar (sem exageros)
doente de inveja das conquistas dos outros, em vez de usar suas habilidades e conhecimentos (mesmo sem
todo o estudo que ele não conseguiu) para conseguir tudo de bom e próspero que ele poderia ter e, por
consequência, todos ao seu redor que nunca o deixariam na mão, mas tivemos que deixá-lo afinal, ele era
uma pessoa muito esclarecida e sabia que colocar a mão no fogo queima e dói, mas ainda assim vivia
cometendo esse erro e culpando os outros por seus erros, sendo que ele mesmo era o responsável por tais
erros e não os outros, mas ele fazia questão de projetar isso nos outros como se o mundo tivesse sido feito
para os outros e não para ele. Só faltou os dois se tocarem que o mundo foi feito igualmente para todos e
que os que conseguiam o que conseguiam era porque iam atrás do que queria ao invés de ficarem esperando
que o mundo fizesse algo por eles. Meu pai morreu em 1998 (não fui capaz de derramar e jurei que nunca
derramaria uma lágrima quando soubesse de sua morte - cumpro esse juramento até hoje. Chorarei rios de
lágrimas quando meus "pets" se forem pois esses sim amo de paixão, e chorei e muito quando meu ex-
comandante do exército - que foi um dos pais que eu não tive - morreu em serviço, mas sou incapaz de
chorar por um membro de minha família biológica). Quando choro - algo muito raro - é quando estou com
minha psicoterapeuta e, ainda assim, quando eu me permito chorar e a situação assim a merece. Citei neste
"pequeno texto" um resumo de uma parte de minha infância e adolescência. Após os 15 anos idade resolvi
me emancipar e cuidar de minha vida por mim mesmo e abandonar totalmente minha família. Irmãos e
irmãs ainda vão pelos mesmos caminhos espinhentos, passam pelos mesmos sofrimentos repetem erros que
não deveriam. Parecem que, não tiveram uma herança com valor financeiro para terem dinheiro para
esbanjar por aqui e ali, acho que se sentem na obrigação de aceitar uma herança ruim, sofrida, maldita e
desnecessária; é como se seu único propósito fosse ter que continuar (mesmo que não prestando) a rotina de
seus antepassados. Pessoal, me poupem e poupem, principalmente,vocês mesmos da falta de bom senso e
de amor

Embora vários problemas tenham acontecido na minha vida, a base moral e ética, o senso de
responsabilidade, de deveres a cumprir, o de respeitar as pessoas e o de conquistar o respeito foi muito bem
absorvido por mim. Apesar de eles não serem os pais perfeitos com os quais muitos sonham ou pensam ter,
de ter que ouvir que só prestava até os 7 anos de idade e depois disso não valia nada, de dizer que eu teria
escola era até a quarta série e que eu me virasse se quisesse conseguir mais, eu conseguí tirar o que pude de

melhor do esterco que foi usado na terra onde tive que crescer (mas não precisei ser uma erva daninha e sim
algo muito melhor a cada dia - e nos ambientes que vivi por anos eu poderia simplesmente me acomodar e
dizer que a vida é assim mesmo, que eu não tenho perspectiva e resolver viver na pobreza ou abaixo da
linha da miséria e continuar cometendo os mesmos erros de meus maus pais: continuar sendo esterco em
vez de usar isso como matéria-prima e fazer algo melhor do que aquilo em que eu estava, e com uma
aparência muito melhor aos olhos e à mente. Há quase 1 ano fui "julgado" e considerado "culpado" por
pessoas que eu considerava dignas de meu respeito. E estava sendo julgado pelas costas, pela maldita
cultura presunçosa da maioria das pessoas com quem vivemos. Decisões sendo tomadas e que me
envolviam, mas das quais nunca pude participar e, quando soube a decisão final já havia sido posta em
prática e, para um país e um povo que se diz democrático e justo, nem tive a chance de ser ouvido
completamente e nem tive a chance de me defender meus pontos de vista (mesmo que estes não fossem
aceitos. Pelo que sei, cada um pensa com a sua cabeça e personalidade de forma a cada dia, eu acho, e não
enfiando um pen-drive na cabeça das pessoas e baixando o programa que se quer para que elas ajam
exatamente como queremos - isso ainda deve ser ficção como em Matrix). Parece que pensar por si
incomoda quem não é capaz de pensar por si e, ainda por cima, incomoda aqueles que tem suas
responsabilidades, mas resolve inverter passando a idéia de que a obrigação é dos outros e não deles.
Colocam filhos no mundo e culpam seus professores por irem mal na escola, quando a educação vem de
casa e a culpa do mal comportamento de seus filhos é única e totalmente dos pais; e dos próprios filhos
também que, depois de adultos, sabem o que é certo e errado mas acatam o errado por preguiça,
comodismo e para agradar a maioria imprestável da qual ela não quer deixar de fazer parte - Em vez de o
bom cavalo trabalhador melhorar o burro preguiçoso, é o burro preguiçoso que estraga o bom cavalo
trabalhador - na marra e conscientemente, o que é ainda pior).
E com toda a base moral e ética, de respeito de limites de liberdade e de achar, querer e conquistar o
merecido respeito de todos com quem convivo, de ouvir opiniões e não necessariamente querer concordar
com elas, uma vez ouvi de uma pessoa que eu estimava muito, quando eu disse que gosto de ser o mais
correto possível e de praticar a cartilha da ética, respeito, necessária formalidade no tratamento com as
pessoas e de me defender quando me sentir injustiçado e agredido, a resposta foram todas as palavras a
seguir, sem qualquer alteração (a voz da pessoa ao falar isso foi em tom de deboche e com um olhar e
sorriso irônicos:
"Se você vive sua vida, profissional e social, e você usa como base toda essa educação exemplar que você
teve e pratica, sinceramente isso não vale nada para mim e para os outros que são do nosso círculo."

Creio que a figura abaixo resume exatamente o que ele queria dizer, afinal acho que se eu não prestasse
como pessoa eu seria mais aceito por ela. Ainda bem que é só uma pessoa, pois conheço muitas outras no
meio pessoal e profissional que ainda valorizam o que temos de bom e não o que não presta: "o lado negro
da força". E não deixem de ler o comentário ao final da charge. É totalmente verdadeiro pois reflete
exatamente o que acontece nos dias de hoje: o porquê das pessoas serem o que são, pois os pais as formam
assim e querem culpar as escolas por isso. A cara de deboche e confiança, sentida pela segurança da
pressão de seus pais sobre o professor em 2009 reflete exatamente o comportamento dos filhos e da maioria
dos pais que conheço. O que me conforta nisso, de certo modo, é que esses filhos vão se tornar adultos, não
