DESCRIPTION
CAUTION
Daniel W. Hamlett, Sr. is wanted for his alleged involvement in the armed robbery of the Webster Bank located at 15 New Haven Road
in Seymour, Connecticut. It is alleged that, on April 9, 2013, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Hamlett, Sr. pulled into the bank parking lot
and parked in the handicapped space. A customer exiting the bank walked by the vehicle and noticed that Hamlett, Sr. was wearing a
mask that covered his face. The customer continued to his vehicle, entered it, and locked the doors. Hamlett, Sr. got out of his vehicle,
ran to the customer's vehicle, took out a black handgun, smashed the driver's side front window, and demanded money from the
customer. When the customer responded that he didnt have any money, Hamlett, Sr. took the customer's car keys and cell phone and
told him not to move. Hamlett, Sr. then went into the Webster Bank. The customer ran to a business next to the bank and the Seymour
Police were called. Hamlett Sr., was then observed exiting the bank and getting into a vehicle described as possibly being a Ford
Taurus, teal in color, with the last three digits of the plate reading YHC. The vehicle was last seen getting onto Route 8 North.
It is further alleged that Hamlett Sr. walked into the bank brandishing a black handgun and yelled for everyone to get on the floor.
Hamlett Sr. jumped over the teller counter, grabbed a teller, and ordered her to open her drawer. He took all of the money out of her
drawer, including a dye pack, and then led the teller to another employee. That employee's drawer was opened and Hamlett Sr. took all
the money from her drawer, including a dye pack. Hamlett Sr. then jumped back over the teller counter and walked out of the front
door of the bank.
A federal arrest warrant was issued for Daniel W. Hamlett, Sr. in the United States District Court, District of Connecticut, New Haven,
Connecticut, on March 13, 2014, after he was charged with armed bank robbery and aiding and abetting.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the location and arrest of Daniel W. Hamlett, Sr.
