Abstract
Berango, Maeryl Ayn V., Doma, Tonie Rose D., Garrido, Marian A., Tubianosa, Quennie
D. “Correlation Of Academic Performance And Related Learning Experience Of
Level Iv Nursing Students Of Aquinas University Of Legazpi”, [An Undergraduate
Thesis, Aquinas University College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Rawis, Legazpi City
(2009)].
The study aimed to correlate academic performance and related learning experience
PHC 101, PHC 102, NCM 100, NCM 101 and NCM 102 are the bases for quantifying
academic performance while the evaluation sheets in PHC 101.1, PHC 102.1, NCM 100.1,
NCM 101.1 and NCM 102.1 are the bases for measuring related learning experience. The
study employed theories of Aristotle, Klausmeier, Garman and Infante in the formation of
the theoretical framework model. A modified system approach by Hoz and Miskel was
applied in the conceptualization of the study. The quantitative method of research was
utilized in the study. The data from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences office
served as the secondary data to identify the degree of relationship between academic
performance and related learning experience. A stratified random sampling was employed
based on the list of the population to determine the sample size of the study from each
block where the particular respondents were identified on each stratum. The initial
respondents were 95 students but due to incomplete grades of some of the respondents,
only 84 randomly selected respondents were left. The Pearson Product Moment Correlation
was used to determine the correlation of the two variables. The researchers presented the
data gathered in both tabular and textual forms. The result showed a moderate degree of
