Nurses play a vital role in the health care systems of government. They are

indispensable resource in the different sectors and units of the health care system. The

nurses are responsible for providing quality care to patients as they are admitted or

clinic for treatments, medications and educating them on the do’s and dont’s while they

are confined in the hospital.

This study was conducted to determine the level of clinical performance of the 32

full time and 5 contractual nursing staff of the Provincial Hospital of Cagayan at Toran

Aparri. The Individual Performance Commitment Review(IPCR) tool was used to obtain

data and information as to their level of performance along a.) Core functions and b.)

suppport functions being contained in the IPCR. Included ar ethe demographics profile

in terms of sex, age and lenght of service rendered at the hospital were presented,

interpreted and analyzed in connection with their performance level.

along with the data and information derived from the accomplished IPCR rating period

July 22-Dec-22.

The level of clinical performance of the nurses-responder have exhibit”very

satisfactory” level of performance despite diversity in age, sex, and lenght of service

rendered. It is impressive to note that the core functions are rated at “Very Satisfactory”
