Surabaya

Once upon the time, there were a Sura and Buaya (see text
below). They always fight for get some food in the water (sea
and river). They were very strong. During the time, there
was none win and lose. Finally, buaya met sura to talk about
their hunting area.

“I am tired to fight for eat, Buaya!” said sura.


“I am too, how about if we share our area!” said buaya.
“Okay, I have hunting area in the salty water and you in
the river. How about that?” said sura
“Perfect, I agree” said buaya.

After that, no more fight in the water but one day, sura came
to the river ending to find some food. There, sura met buaya.

“Hey! Stay away from here! It is my hunting area! You


break our agreement!” yell buaya.
“No, you break our agreement first! This is salty water!”
said sura.
“It is plain water!” said buaya.
Finally, they fought again. At this time, buaya winning the
fight. Sura came back to the sea with hurts and buaya get
his river again.

People call that area such as “Surabaya” which took from


Javanese language, Suro become Sura, and boyo become
buaya become baya.
