Traditinal Food in Southheast Sulawesi

In the Southeast Sulawesi have many tribes. Especially in Kendari, there are many
tribes, such as: the tribe Buton, Tolaki tribe, the tribe muna, Wawonii tribes, and each tribe
have a special food or so-called traditional food.

1. Buton tribe.
Buton tribe has traditional makana commonly called the "kasuami". kasuami where
this comes from the grated cassava until finely grated and the results are squeezed so that
separates water and waste. This is where the dregs of the raw material kasuami. Or in Buton,
cassava dregs are called "kaati".
Then "kaati" is in the process of getting some food, one of them is "kasuami".
kasuami which is made by mixing "kaati" and then with grated coconut steamed in mold
made of coconut leaves emergency.

2. Tolaki tribe.
Tolaki tribe has traditional food used in the call with sinonggi. Sinonggi which is
derived from taking sago processed of the contents of the sago palm trunk which was in the
mash until smooth and done soaking. After the soaking process sago, which is draining serves
to separate the water and sago pulp. After the separation of waste water and sago, and then
drying thus obtained is pure sago.
From this pure sago, we will produce traditional food Tolaki called "sinonggi".
Sinonggi which is made by taking a sufficiently sago, then add enough water. After they were
cooked until cooked and thickened.

3. Muna tribe.
Muna tribe has traditional food commonly called the "Kabuto". Where "Kabuto" is
derived from the dried cassava and fermented and then after it is fermented cassava in the dry
so that the color changed back to white blackish. Then to make "Kabuto" yam dried and
cooked color change until cooked.

4. Wawonii tribe.
Wawonii tribe has traditional food is very simple which is also derived from cassava
is how to make cassava peel is then washed clean and then boiled until cooked.
