A Closer Look at Some Actual Student Performance Indicators By Tana Townsend

1. Illustrate and communicate original ideas and stories using digital tools and media-rich resources. (1,2)

Students will use iMovie to create a slideshow all about themselves. The students¶ likes, dislikes, including sports, and activities in and outside of the classroom. Classes may sign up for a movie night, this would promote a pro-social activity where students from different classes and grade levels get to know each other.

2. Identify, research, and collect data on an environmental issue using digital resources and propose a developmentally appropriate solution. (1,3,4)

3. Engage in learning activities with learners from multiple cultures through e-mail and other electronic means. (2,6)

customize names meanwhile teacher will match students with pen pals from around the world.

4. In a collaborative work group, use a variety of technologies to produce a digital presentation or product in a curriculum area. (1,2,6)

y Students will work together in an effort to customize a


classroom blog at blogspot.com

y On the blog as a class, we will produce a PowerPoint


presentation and hold a schoolwide assembly for students to showcase their accomplishments.
