activity spot butterflies
The Big Butterfly Count has been taking
place this summer, and until the end of
August you can submit your sightings
at bigbutterflycount.org. So become a
butterfly spotter and help conservationists
calculate how many butterflies are flying
around Britain.
It is amazing how many you can spot
even if you live in a city. Download a
­butterfly identification sheet from
bigbutterflycount.org, then head
to a park, garden, wood or field and count
how many different butterflies you see
in 15 minutes.
